My wife has a 2021 Sahara Altitude Wrangler JLU. We ordered it with Lots of extras... One of the things she wanted besides heated seats and 1 touch top was Passive Entry setup.

I bought mine from off the lot. I settled for a few things.Well, a month or so ago... I ordered a Passive Entry Kit for my Gladiator (Freedom/Oscar Mike) from AllMoparParts.com. It's been sitting in my closet waiting to be installed.
I chose to only get the set up for the drivers side. Since 90% of the time, I'm the only one in the Jeep.

Passive Entry Kit

Today, I was able to squeak out some time with the temp around 50.
It took me about an hour, but know what I know know.... I could probably do it easily in 30 minutes. 😄

I did you my Tazer Mini to activate the Passive Entry.
For those who don't know... It's located under the OTHER in the TAZER Menu.

While this is far from the 1st and definitely not the last addition to my Gladiator.... It is one I am going to enjoy. Now I don't have to dig my key out when I coming from the gym or anywhere else for that matter.

Did your Gladiator already have the appropriate wiring harness in the door?
Was it just plug and play other than the Tazer update?

Used a 1/4" socket wrench...
It came off with minimal effort.

Nice work! I will say that I have found the passenger side to be quite handy as well since I often load smaller cargo into the passenger side. Or if I just need to grab something out of the glove box or whatever, I can just enter that side.

WOW! Just so I am clear prior to ordering, a Gladiator (trim level higher than sport)+ this kit + Tazer = passive entry on the driver's side?
I'm in the same boat as you, 90%+ solo, so $165 sure beats the $695 option (yes that does all the doors)
And is this just passive unlock, or does it also lock from the door handle?
Thanks

If you order a 2022 this is standard on some trims now. Mojave for sure. Check that out.

Too bad there is a 45 day backorder right now! Someone PM me if they have a passive entry door handle laying around.

IN the door harness itself? So you ONLY needed the handle and button? You didn't have to swap harnesses in the door?

The handle has a button you press to lock, stick your hand behind the handle and it senses and unlocks. You can exit the truck, close the door and push a button on the handle to lock it.

No, you need to replace the door harness and the handle.
The plug under the kick panel/dash had the proper 2 wires connected to it so I could add the kit.

A warning to those that are thinking about doing it after. I did this, and the button sometimes works. its hit and miss.
