Been driving my pops Bronco around and wow do I love the way his exhaust sounds when you get on it, his is a Sasquatch edition so it’s got the 2.7 turbo and it got me thinking if the glady 3.6 could sound like it. Any one know if there are some aftermarket options out there that sound similar to the throatiness these broncos have? Or is it because of his engine and turbo that they sound so kickass.

A cheap first option is to take out the big suitcase muffler in the middle of the exhaust. Supposed to give it a little more sound when you're getting on it, without being obnoxious, or costing more than a few bucks (that's what I'm going to try at least).

Not sure how it compares to the Bronco to your point though.

I took off the last resonator (closest to rear bumper) and it had a definite improvement. Nowhere near to what my JKU sounded like with the aFe exhaust but nice lil sound.

I chopped off the big suitcase and the smaller one next to it. Left on the tiny one by the exhaust tip though

it’s loud, probably too loud for most people on the highway lol. I don’t mind it though, I prefer the raw sound over a quiet ride. The occasional crackles & pops help too

If I was looking to burn cash, I’d go AWE Trail Catback or Corsa Sport Catback.

Edit: I added a Flowmaster 40 series muffler in place of the big muffler and smaller one next to it

Beware of the "DRONE" in the 2K -2.5K rpm range.. I have B2 Fabrication and did correct the drone by re-installing the FRONT Resonator (B2 kit replaced that tube which was attached to the OEM big muffler).

Over the years I have modified the exhaust on many of my vehicles but for some reason I can not imagine a Gladiator going down an off road trail out in the woods with a noisy exhaust .

The Magnaflow exhaust is on my list of mods for the future, this one features a system that cuts out the drone and can be tuned for your mods such as tires and or gears. Magnaflow is a straight through exhaust unlike other mufflers, like blowmaster (flowmaster), which is restrictive and if anyone tells you that you need back pressure then they don't know what they are talking about. Anyway, I use Magnaflow on my challenger and get a ton of compliments on it. Here's a link Magnaflow Jeep exhaust

I installed Flowmaster on my Ram and It sounds great. Not too loud and obnoxious like a straight through system. Just the right amount of back pressure.

I have a Rough Country CAT Back dual exhaust and an AIRAID Cold Air Intake and I love the way it sounds. You can make it sound smooth and mellow or loud and throaty depending on your throttle input and whether you shift it manually or not.

I wanted to remove the suitcase muffler but believe it or not, there are no muffler shops near me. The nearest one is about 75 miles from me. Considering it would be a 150 miles round trip and probably $30 on gas plus $40 for lunch and $175 they wanted to cut and install straight pipe, that would put it right at $245. I ended up buying an AFE Rock Basher for a little more.

Got around to install the AFE Rock Basher exhaust today. Took my son and I about 1 hour from start to finish. I decided to cut the stock exhaust at the axle area for ease of removal. The AFE went in perfectly. Gotta love the simplicity of the system. I think it sounds just perfect. Loud when you stomp on it and mellow when cruising. You know it's there but I noticed no drone. My wife hates loud exhausts and she gave her seal of approval. Great option that does not break the bank, very tucked in and great sound. Win win for me.
