The weather has finally turned and it's a beautiful weekend to head to the woods.

I used to have a CJ7 and loved it, just not as much room in the back.

It's plumbing upgrade time. Although I like my cheap Amazon electric faucet, it doesn't fold down. Because of this, I have to pull it out each time I collapse the camper.

I ordered a folding faucet and Seaflo 12v pressure switch pump. I'll take some pics of the installation, when I'm done.

Well the upgrade faucet / pressure switch pump works great! 1.3 Gallons per minute Seaflow pump is perfect size for a sink. The pump has a pressure switch built in, so all you have to do is turn on the water faucet and the pump turns on. I like it!

Now I can fold down the faucet, when I pull down the bed platform.

Still a long way to go - got a Dometic 75l fridge and realized that my set up needs more space than a half rack provides - also planning to get a 3” AEV lift with 35s and reviewing diff caps. But for now she takes me where I want to go. Pics from a recent overland fest in the Catskills

Your Rubicon will easily fit 37" tires under your stock fenders with your 3" lift, if you decide to go bigger. Nice build

The tailgate is one of my favorite things about the JT so I wouldn’t want to lose it. The bed mat that I installed would make climbing in and out a lot less painful on your knees. Contact Real Truck on the forum for a discount.

Yes! Definitely use a mat! I forgot to mention that there is no way I'm climbing onto my tailgate, on my knees without a mat. Try it once, and you'll understand.

They are really nice to sit on also.

I made my own mat from 3/4" foam rubber covered with automotive carpet. I have these same mats on the floor of my camper. I can easily lift them out, to shake off the dirt, and hose out the bed.

After a year of camping, I'm still on the fence about a vertical door vs. tailgate. The tailgate/hatch is great for a fold out table, but awkward to get in/out of the camper.

What would you guys do, for your build?

For a true camper like the all cab, the vertical door seems appropriate. I’m somewhat on the fence but also not really lol. I like the concept, I like the privacy and security of it, but I hate the fact that you can no longer use your gladiator to haul stuff like mulch.
