So my setup is under the bench seat. Not quite completed yet. But I have the heater intake stubbed through the wall of the bench unobstructed. The air intake for the heater for ignition was ran through the wall right where the bed light was. I bought a bed light from eBay butchered it and ran it to the back side of the wheel well. The exhaust port is ran through the bed hole(bored out to 1 3/8 using step drill) it will then be ran out and through to the bumper with a hole there for the exhaust.

Kinda what I based mine off of. Plus a couple different mods on the fuel tank and exhaust.

Thanks for the info.

Sorry I meant the burner exhaust diameter. I’m guessing since you run yours outside you don’t need the exhaust pipe and muffler. No worries, I think it’s 2.5cm diameter.

Ah my bad. Not sure but the kit includes those parts. I did keep the filter and exhaust pipe on while outside.

There's a cool kit available for Tacoma's to hide the Diesel Heater in the sidewall.

OK, fabricators (@813 Fabrication & Design I know you're watching), where's the Gladiator Diesel Heater sidewall kit? Gladiators have a 120v outlet cover that could be used for the blower outlet.

Here's a bunch of drain hole covers that could be used for a Diesel Heater exhaust (or the back right one for blower inlet). Mine is hard to see since they are covered with a factory spray in bedliner.

I've been watching a few of those. I plan to work on a few ideas as soon as we get settled in our new location in a few weeks.

Yikes, I've heard some horror stories with those cheap Chinese diesel heaters. I'd stick to a Western manufacturer. Anything that deals with food, or stuff burning, combustible fumes or anything that has a high safety impact, I stay the heck away from China. They will do anything to cut corners.

Here's a good article on Eberspacher, Webasto and Wallas Diesel Heaters vs. Chinese Heaters. It looks like their patents have expired and the Chinese are copying them legally.

I worked in China and Europe for a while. It's funny when I asked people in China about Quality, they said they don't trust Chinese companies and that American and German products where always top notch. I worked for an American manufacturer starting manufacturing in Europe and Asia. There are some good quality Chinese products, but there's also a lot of crap.

Caveat Emptor!

Here's another Diesel Heater install from @JeeperFIN. Nice setup built in an Alucab and ammo can. Looks like the exhaust is routed through the Jeep bed sidewall. Nice job!

Thanks

Yes, the exhaust goes through the power outlet hole. I didnt want to make any extra holes to the bed.

Diesel for the heater comes from the tank, i have t-fitting in the webasto inlet .

When i need the heater, all i need is to take the controller and thermostat to the tent.

Here is the write-up of the webasto:
