Looking great!! What brand awning?
It is the OVS Nomadic 270LTE (driver's side) - It really is well made and super simple to setup.

I was wondering if it was an OVS. Looks like a nice package, reasonable priced also. The rig looks terrific!

I'm heading out on a 3,000 mile trip through Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and Kansas this week. Looks like everything fits nicely under my camper seats and in the kitchen cabinet.

I've had too much coffee this morning. I'm thinking that if I cut a quarter section out of this 13ft. diameter patio umbrella material, throw in a center hinge and some fiberglass rods for ribs, I'll have a very light weight, extremely cheap DIY 270 awning. I love coming up with DIY solutions from cheap materials.

Hey everyone. Ive been watching this thread for a long time. Ive been thinking about the whole removing the bed, building a shell and integrating into the cab thing. Everyone always talked about flex being an issue and i agreed. Now i know that these arent as off road capable as a gladiator, but check these out. They take a full size truck and put a pass thru cab camper on. What do yall think about this in general. I saw one in person in Alaska. The company has been building these for many years.

Here's a couple shots of the Badlands and you can't visit without a stop at Wall Drug! I even had time to do some Jackelope hunting! ;)

After the Badlands, it was a short drive to Keystone South Dakota, and Mount Rushmore. I lucked out and found the last camping site at Horse Thief Lake. This is a beautiful National Forest Campground. The swim in the Lake was incredible.

It was a busy day of touring the Black Hills. Below are pictures of Black Elk Mountain, Needles Highway, and Iron Mountain Road. Ended up camping at Grizzly Creek.

After the Black Hills, It was a long day of driving through the Cherokee and Crow Nations in Montana, then dropped into Custer Gallatin National Forest. I found a beautiful National Forest campground (Cascade) alongside a mountain river in Southern Montana. I picked the campground because it was next to the river, but there were plenty of free spots along the gravel road in.

Looks cool but must be super heavy.
There was a guy on expedition portal that had one and wet on some pretty narrow steep trails with one. I thought it was legit considering what it is - and no where near the cost/weight of earth roamer.

If you're headed to the west side of the state let me know if you need/want any suggestions. Also FYI Glacier has hard sided camper only restriction again this year that was expanded too more campgrounds from last year. Going to visit the spotted bear ranger station is pretty cool though and less crowded. If your doing the bear tooth, I suggest also checking out the scenic byway that cuts off just east of cooke city and heads south into Wyoming, but you can make a nice big loop out of it!

Thanks, I'm already back in Missouri. I noticed quite a few campgrounds east of Yellowstone also required hard sided campers. Even the large Grant Campground in Yellowstone had a black bear visit looking for food while I was there.

You have to be careful in Yellowstone with the animals. They look tame but are not. While I was there a woman got gored in the chest by a Bison, and had to be helicoptered to a local hospital.

I entered Yellowstone from Bear Tooth, which was incredible. I'll post some pictures soon. Cooke City is a cool little town!
