There are a "certain type" of people who have more lemon law vehicles than others. OCD people struggle to let things go and therefore find something wrong will everything they touch. Fix your OCD and your Jeep will fix itself. ;)
Ah, a medical expert......... the sort I fought like hell at work who said "you can just think your way through that".

I am very OCD - and I would not go lemon law unless it easily met the criteria and was a problem like several members have experienced with the engine codes and failures. All else I'd fight to get fixed under warranty (and I usually win)
A true OCD person like me wants THAT truck fixed, not a different truck.
My thing is "you need to make THAT truck perfect, no other truck will do".
OCD "typically" won't let go of a vehicle so easily.

But don't even think of going there with things like OCD, ADHD, and more - it's what causes this country to be decades, if not further, behind medially progressive countries like Canada- or even the EU. You can't think or force your way out of genuine issues like those and to even suggest..........
Most think OCD is some sort of joke and use the term in ways that mock.

I'm with you there. I did NOT want to give this Ram truck up that is now being lemon lawed.

I hung in there, tried and tried during various dealer attempts adding up to 45 plus business days the Ram sat at the dealer during those misc "fixes" that never worked even with the star team and corporate involved.

This also involved me making a three hour each way trip to the dealer to drop off the truck. And, a three hour trip once again to pick it back up each time. Lots of hours I don't get back or reimbursed for.

But, I was willing to do so, to get the truck so I could put fuel in it, without the fuel spraying out all over me and the truck and/or the fuel nozzle getting stuck to the truck filler tube for about a half hour during each fill up. A battle twisting, turning, begging, pleading, using nice words, using bad words etc every time during the fuel nozzle release process.

I was trying to get the devil I knew right. I liked all else about the loaded Limited 4x4 Ram.

Going through this lemon law thing for the first, and hopefully last time, sure puts one on edge when looking for the next vehicle. Especially when serious issues do pop up about them including engine issues, replacement engine issues, CEL lights etc.

Leaking roof, meh. Leaking rear window, it will get sorted. Broken control screen, ok...try putting a new one in to get it right. But, bad engines, idles or not being able to put fuel in a vehicle without putting yourself in danger...yep, that's a sour pill that one can only take a few times before saying, no more.

OCD often gets a bum rap. OCD can be very satisfying and healthy as long as it doesn't interfere with "normal" daily function.

I owned a 2015 Silverado. After buying it I became a member of the GM truck forum. When I saw this thread, https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/153186-shake-or-vibration-issues/ I was petrified. Over 800 pages for a mystery vibration(Chevy Shake). Well, 50k miles later...no issues whatsoever. There were other threads about failing A/C, hesitating transmissions, leaking radiators, and touch screen problems. My dad drives it now. He loves it. The moral? These forums will scare you.

I don't know if they ever solved the issue. I quit following it after I realized my truck was running just fine.

Bought a ‘21 Gladiator Rubicon last week. Super excited to own a Jeep for the first time. In less than 70 miles, the Gladiator has turned off 4 times while moving at slow speeds (even with auto-off disabled), has serious shakes / rumbles at idle, and now has the check engine light.

This seems insane to me. I really wish I read the posts in here before making the purchase
Update on this to hopefully lessen the anxiety this thread can give you. When the dealer filled up my initial tank, they did it with their truck at the dealership which lacks any automatic stop. They overfilled it which flooded the emissions canister and was choking the engine. They’re replacing the canister. Looks to be more a case of a careless sales team than a lemon.

Now that's funny. No your not crazy.

As far as you getting it "expedited"? Oh my God that's hilarious.

A "specialist" that also strikes me as on the humorous side.

A loaner? Sure they will give you one of those. You just gotta leave your truck at the dealership.

There is no expedite. There are promises of an expedite. But there is no actual expedite.

Yeah there is no expediting anything, things take MONTHS to get done. Mine will be bought back finally in about a week, it was a pretty bad experience and I’m thankful it’s over. Already have a new truck in the garage and the POS is sitting outside.

I finally got a lemon law lawyer involved with my lemon Ram last July. I believe it was later August FCA said they’d buy back the truck.

Now, it’s almost December and I’m told it could be another 3 months or so before FCA has all the paperwork together to set a turn in date.

Meanwhile, the truck still sticks to fuel nozzles for up to 30 minutes each attempted fill up as I battle to get it released each time with screw drivers etc, makes driving and getting fuel for the thing very stressful.

from start to finish, how long did FCA take to give you a turn in date?

what truck did you go with next?

Once we accepted the buyback offer it took about 3 month. They blamed COVID for the extra delay which is BS. I think the real delay is they want you to keep driving hoping you wreck it. That way insurance pays it and not them.

As I've also learned going through this Lemon Law thing is that pretty much any vehicle you enter into a google search with the word lemon after it, you'll find lemons and lemon law cases with every one of them. Argh!

GM, Ford, Toyota trucks I also considered. However, after putting in the words lemon and forum with each of them I'm left just thinking about getting a bicycle!

Years ago my mom wanted one of those Jaguar X Types. OH, the word on the street was they were terrible. It was based off the Ford Taurus. Online forum complaints galore.

She bought the Jaguar X Type anyway. Well, amazingly, she still has it 17 years later. It still looks new, has about 77k miles on it. She's only replaced the tires and fuel pump in that time. And, of course the fluids as recommended. Go figure!

Again though, once you live through the lemon law experience, you're fried. As many Rams as I've had before this one, I'm done with them for at least a few more years to come.

I was even reading on this forum how someone who bought a 2021 JT made post the steering box TSB is having steering issues.

Good grief! Again, back to thinking about just getting a bicycle...or a moped!

May his GMC be trouble free as well as my possible upcoming Gladiator in this game of lemon law roulette.

Spoke too soon here. 3 times in the shop, each time they’ve come up with a different rationale for the issues (stalling / turning off at idle, leaking fuel to name a few). STILL not fixed. Here’s a video of it turning off at a stop light. This has happened to me at left turns as well- a super dangerous situation. I feel no choice but to invoke the lemon law at this point
