For the naysayer up thread.

Flaps keep all the schmutz off the side of the Jeep. With al the road construction and development going on around my area my JT would look like crap with red clay mud all over the sides without at least front mud flaps, even if I never left the pavement.

Well thank you for sharing your opinion. Duly noted. They happed to be required equipment in most states, mine included. Also, who wants to be the shit bag throwing mud and rocks at other cars while travelling down the road?
It is really not my opinion, just a fact. The requirement you are referring to is for commercial vehicles. If states had a law requiring your Jeep to have mud flaps it would come equipped that way from the factory. Enjoy your mud flaps

I ordered my first set of RokBlokz after cow poop came in the open driver window.

Later when I purchased my old man steps
initially without mud flaps.
The steps turned into shelves for cow poop.
Promptly ordered the second set of RokBlokz. The biggest ones they make.

Come on guys, if you’re not actively throwing a 5-gallon bucket of gravel on your truck before each drive are you really even a JEEP owner!?!

Arizona has a state law that requires mudflaps on LIFTED pickup trucks. Wranglers on 40’s? No issue. Enforcement is hit or miss.

Alaska law (AS 28.35.253) requires vehicles, particularly trucks and trailers, to have mud flaps, fenders, or other anti-spray devices to prevent debris from becoming a hazard to other drivers. Mud flaps must be at least as wide as the tire, and for some, they must extend to within roughly 14 inches of the ground.

If the rear of your truck here is taller than 12 inches off the ground, you are required to have mudflaps.

And my Mojave certainly didn't come with any. Ipso Facto, RokBlokz.

Hi all. I’m a new Gladiator owner and want to get some mud flaps for my ride to stop some of the road spray and salt flying up on to the doors.

I’m not super keen on the idea of drilling holes in my brand new Jeep so I have been looking at the ā€œno drillā€ variety and was wondering if they are worth it? Are the ā€œno drillā€ ones as good as the ones you drill in and bolt to the body / fenders?

For those of you with ā€œno drillā€ ones, any suggestions on brands or things to look out for or pay attention to?

Any help or feedback is much appreciated! Thank you!
weathertech are expensive but are no drill and easy to install

Short answer to keeping the road grime off the sides of your truck is to have some kind of rock rail or flat step attached.

My 21 JTR had the Weather Tech flaps but I also had the down angled tube rock sliders and my sides never saw the crap. I’ve recently got into a
23 JTR with the factory rock slider (hugs in close to the body), and it came with no flaps and I had road crap everywhere.

Wife and I looked at all the flaps available and, reluctantly, bought the Weather Tech’s and I now see 1/2 the crap all over but we need the rock sliders to stop the other half. Photos attached is real world experience with the WT flaps.

Thank you for the included pictures. The visual makes it pretty clear at what point the WT flaps stop protecting the side of your vehicle.

Weathertechs here……Easy to install. I only have them on the front.

Having some sort of sliders, steps, or running boards helps keep the crap off the sides.

Yes, some sort of sliders / steps / running boards are on my list to acquire as well. I must admit I didn’t necessarily think about them stopping road crap coming up on the sides but it makes sense.

This is actually a quote from another thread about mud flaps I did recently, but here is my two cents... again.

Rokblokz.
They are on the spendy side, but worth it.

They come in a couple of different sizes that you can select to fit your needs better, are adjustable horizontally if you have wider or spaced tires, and can be completely removed by hex wrenched thumb screws if you are going someplace where they could get damaged or get in the way.

Also, you can get them color matched or customized to what you want.

This was taken last summer-ish, mine are black with orange logo and in Long/XL. This is mostly due to us using rocks/pebbles on the roads instead of salt. Keeps you from screwing up other people's windshields due to tossing rocks.

The only concern I would have with them, especially on the front, would be that they only come with a front cutout for the Rubicon rails, again like the ones in the picture. Rear ones fit on anything.

They are no-drill, and fit like a glove.

Rokblokz on mine and I love them. They are expensive but worth it and can easily be removed quickly if needed on a trail
I went with these originally because of the ease of removal for trail use. But the reality is sometimes you need them on for the trail and would have to stop and take them off. Thus, I just run mine on the trails all the time. I am completely amazed at the durability of these flaps. They are always on and do hit rocks and just flex off them and stay put with no problems other than some scuffing to the the bottom edge. I have never taken them off and I am very happy with them as they offer great coverage/protection.

Not to mention…….if you drive on a ā€˜stone’ parking lot and your tires pickup a few stones. You get on the road and hear that sound *TING!!!!* when the rock flies out and hits the underside of your sliders. ☺

I've been a Rokblokz fan since installing them on my JTR in July 2019. I've wheeled them and they're tough as nails. They're also used by most WRC, Baja, and Dakar Rally teams.
