I dont think Jeep has to worry about anyone calling the "Cherokee" "a come back". I believe this thing is set to flop big time. They had a chance to go retro and really eat into some of the Bronco market if they had made it look more like the 90's/2000's Cherokee and placed it on the Wrangler frame. But we know they have been full of swings and misses over the years.

Idk, I don't hate it and I don't love it in regards to the Cherokee, would like to see one in person to make a final judgement. There are some similarities to the 90s/2000s Cherokees at least more so than the previous generation Cherokee. I am questioning their hybrid only choice for powertrain. Although it sounds like maybe that will change in the future, maybe they will put in a 2.0 turbo engine in it also.

That's kind of surprising that the JT is up 43% - I still see a lot of 2025's on the lots around me, many sitting for months.

As for the new Cherokee, it has been a unibody design going back 40 years, so I don't think anyone was seriously anticipating a change to body on frame. I don't really consider that a 'miss'.

Compared to the KL with the squinty face, I think the KM looks pretty good - even if it's in an oversaturated segment where seemingly every model is evolving to look like each other.

That said, looks aren't exactly top of my priority list. If the new one is still relatively capable (future Trailhawk trim?) and not hamstrung by the new hybrid powertrain, I think they'll have a winner.

I understand how much of that 43% is left over stock from 23MY and 24MY units.

Yes and the fact that 2024 Q3 JT sales were probably terrible and this quarter they normalized a bit.

And I think the Jeep brand is in a better space than it was a year ago.

Who would have thought 21% off msrp would be great for sales. It helped with my decision to buy.

Guess Jeep found out what these things are worth.

The steep discounts are what compelled me to buy a Mojave. I would have never considered it at MSRP.
