Hoist a top. I used to take my Cj-7 top off by myself, but that was 25 years ago, I was a little more stout then. I can lift the gladiator top, but it’s awkward and my arms are a little short.

This was about 250 bucks plus the 2x6s and took me about 4 hours to install. Makes it very easy and I just keep it lofted to the ceiling for storage.

I’d love a high ceiling like that!

Remove all bolts, store in provided box under driver rear seat. Disconnect all electrical connections. Get in driver seat, start JT, put into D, floor it.
Heck yeah

4 eye bolts in the ceiling of my garage, 4 cam buckle straps. Lift each corner a little, hook a strap to that corner, and pull it up. I do all 4 a little at a time until it's just up high enough for me to pull out of the garage and leave the hard top hanging there. (Don't forget to take a little bit or rake into account). Only needs hoisted about 2 inches really. Then it's stored until I'm ready to re-attach it.

Re-attach is just the opposite, park underneath it exactly where the top needs to go, and slowly let each corner down until it's resting on the truck. When it's about a half inch I remove the hook and set it the rest of the way down on the tub, corner by corner.

Edit: I should say "then it just hangs there until I'm ready to re-attach it". I don't take it down and store it somewhere.
This is exactly what I do too. Works great and only costs like 30 bucks for all the materials

Here is how I did it with my TJ.

To do the same for the Gladiator will require relocating my hooks.
Yeah...balance is different, need to hook the front on the JT top. What you have pictured there is how I hang Wifey's JL top. I use the topsy brackets in the rear, wish they'd find a way to make something like that for the JT, maybe in the bottom rear lip or something.

Lots of good ideas here. What I do after removing the bolts, is stand in the bed and reach thru the open rear window and with arms extended as far forward as possible, lift it up and walk it back. Once back enough to set the rear of the top on the open tailgate and the front on the bed, I set it down and climb out of the bed. Once I'm out of the bed, lift again just like before and carry it to where I'll leave it. My top is stored outside with the rear on boards and the front resting on the rear of a flatbed trailer. I then cinch it down lightly with a ratchet strap.

I made this to work for my situation, low ceilings and limited floor space.
