Jeep Chat now shows me as KZ as well. They said my ETA for delivery is showing as June 29 - July 13th. Hopefully that window can be bumped up because that's crazy! Reminder, I'm down in FL so I guess rail cars don't make it down here as much. I'll update once my contact comes back (with hopefully) a quicker shipping date.

Did anyone on here have an ETA that was way overshot and had it arrive much sooner?

For me, I was waiting either way. I figured the truck price would see a raise again on the 2021 and I was getting frustrated watching the price climb for months on end already.

Whether or not you cancel and get the deposit back is solely on the dealer. If you cancel, the dealer has to try and sell the truck. If it's a popular trim with the right packages they would probably be more inclined to let you do it.

If you are going to apply the deposit to another special order (say the 2021 as you mentioned) I think the dealer will be more inclined to let you cancel too. I'd bet your chances decrease though if you were waiting until the spring because they need the money now more so than ever. So don't tell them that part :)

My opinion, ask the dealer straight up. Be honest and share your thoughts so they are forewarned and don't feel blindsided. It's anyones guess on what they would do. On one hand they could say no because they need the money and the sale. Or, they could say yes because it's an opportunity to get a fresh vehicle on the lot.
I couldnt remember who exactly I made the check payable to. I feel like it was Jeep. but I am probably wrong there.

It's up to the dealership. For me... I never signed anything saying I couldn't break it and get my money back. I just signed the build sheet, that's it.

Are you kidding? Florida is third most populous state! And lotsa Jeeps. :)
You’d think so! But my ETA is a long ways out meanwhile people in VA and closer are getting them quick. I’m talking shipping within a day of KZ and getting them in under a week!

Ask your "connection" if they are able to track a Jeep's location after it leaves the factory...based on VIN or some other aspect of their build progress...would be curious what someone within Jeep, that apparently has a fair amount of knowledge/pull, says about that part of the process.

Will do! I'm still waiting on word back from him, hopefully saying to disregard the timeline provided by Jeep Chat. There should be a way to do it as there are several more detailed status that all pertain to rail shipping codes.

anyone put any thought into hard deadlines for themselves. I am thinking by august 1st if mine hasn't been built to go ahead and cancel. Maybe re order next spring or a 2021. Perhaps buy something off the lot. one of the jeep chat guys sent my info up the chain and I got an email saying it would be built the week of June 29th. So hopefully that happen.s what are everyones thoughts who have been waiting since March? anyway to get the deposit back or put on hold till I place my order again?
I only ordered mine May 23 but if I don't see it by Aug I will be pissed. If I had ordered in March like you I would not wait 5 months, that's insane, even with Covid issues.

The closer we get to end of year the better the deals will be on other vehicles. That said, if the JT is what you want then maybe it's worth waiting:)

Im not quite mad yet. more frustrated. I ordered a Mojave . So I understand the delay. Probably only thing that would get me ticked enough to completly walk away is if any dealer in a 100 mile radius has one delivered to its showroom before mine is built. I am very annoyed to see JTs built that were ordered 2 months after me. We will see. Hopefully the week of June 29th holds true!

No rhyme or reason that I can tell. Think I'm the only hydro blue currently tracking on this thread though. Below are the overall specs for mine if anyone is trying to piece together the puzzle.

Rubicon
Hydro Blue
Black/Dark Saddle Interior
Roll-Up Tonneau Cover
Spray-In Bedliner
Safety Grp
ACC
Headliner
Led Lighting
Cold Wx Grp
Body Color flares/hardtop
Trailer Tow
I am too. Im hoping mine is built as fast. But I have the Bluetooth speaker and front camera and cargo management. I ordered mine June 1st. And as of today it’s just in D1.

I’m apparently stuck in NJ distribution center. I’m on Long Island NY. A 2hr drive from NJ. This is a tease.
I was told “any day”...

My thing is, I leave for NC for a Small 3 day trip. I really don’t want to bring my Trade-In because it’s extra miles I didn’t want to rack on. Also, I need to do an oil change (6.7l Cummins) it’s 3 gal’s ... it’s not cheep .

fingers are crossed for sometime this week

Well...the long wait since February 19th is apparently over. My dealer just texted me and said my Jeep was in. For those keeping track, I got my build sheet last Friday, window sticker Monday, delivered to southwest Indiana on Wednesday.

Good for you! Feb to Jun, 4 months. That is apparently going to be the same for me, Mar - July, 4 months.

Least the build process and shipping went quick! I'm in pains at how it somehow took my truck 10.5 days to fully build and now I'm just waiting on shipping that could possibly not arrive until July 13th. I could not imagine you having to go through what I'm dealing with, after already having to wait so many months to begin with!

Happy for you.
