He told me this is the fastest he has ever seen a jeep be built. March 1st was when I ordered it, VIN on March 2nd, and built it on the 7th. It's in the rail yard and he said that could take a month or more. They did a hurry up to build and now sit and wait.

I was all pumped for a short time thinking it could be a week or so out.. but I guess it's going to be May like they said.
They are building them fast these days, or at least they say they are. Ordered 2-8-22 built 2-17-22 went to shipping 3-12-22 something fishy bout those dates. If you know anything about manufacturing. Once they start building they build and roll em out. They don’t have space or time for these to sit around. The Toledo plant manufacturers one Jeep every 8.5 minutes over two 8 hour shifts. That would fill a lot pretty quickly.

Right. My order for a JTR went in 2/25 and they haven't started yet - waiting for parts, but they won't tell me which parts they are.

Same here. Order 2/17... have been waiting on parts, although this week they said the build is scheduled with no mention of parts, so I am cautiously optimistic. Jeep Chat also mentioned they are no longer giving out build code status... which will make determining status a little more interesting moving forward.

You can get your build codes from your dealer. They are making thousands off you. Don’t worry about bugging them make em earn it.

Yeah, it is like okay guys, it's been almost a month since I ordered. I'd like an update as to what parts we are waiting on but I also knew it was possible there would be a bit of a wait since I added so much to my Diesel Willys.

I did message my dealership and they sent me that it's in D1 status.

There must be something going on with chip/parts. Mine left Toledo on a rail train a little over a week ago and then the train full of Gladiators stopped apparently in Belvidere. The dealer said there was a chip issue and that it was now was resolved and they were just waiting on a part. That means a train full of gladiators stopped at the Jeep Cherokee facility for some reason that Jeep did not know was an issue with the Gladiators about until that rail train left Toledo and a chip/part is being resolved. He said it still should make it to Vegas by the end of the month as planned. That may be what is holding up your gladiator. Who knows.

Here is my experience so far…
Ordered 2/8 got VON same day from Gupton, got VIN Next Business day from Gupton Motors . Started using VIN on the tracker. Build sheet showed up in 1-2 days. Started using Jeep chat everyday to follow along. First time I checked showed D1 status next day paint, next day showed in trim. At this point still no sticker. Next chat showed completed initial build waiting for inspection. stayed that way a couple of weeks and started showing in inspection. 4 weeks total in inspection. Finally showed up as in shipping on Saturday 3/12 no ETA and still no sticker. Chat is closed and tracker doesn’t update on Sunday. So today I check tracker and find a sticker. Then chat said in Shipping stage dealer delivery ETA 3/17/22 - 3/28/22 so we wait and see… ?‍♂?‍♂

Forgot to say about 2 weeks in I got an email from Jeep thanking me for my purchase and saying to expect delivery the week of 3/13/22 that is this week, so they may hit their mark. Before I placed my deposit I was told lead time was 8-12 weeks. It seems like that won’t be a problem but who knows?

I mean I figure it’s just keeping me on an electric scooter and adding to my down payment until it arrives. And with the way fuel prices have been, I’m not hating that either. More money for mods and less to finance the longer it takes. ??‍♀

Yup! Mine is a JTRD. Have you seen the price of Diesel fuel. ?

Oh mine is a diesel too, and here near DC, yeah, it’s over $5.

I keep reminding myself I had WAY worse mileage with both of my TJs and my JLU and my budget is healthy enough to support it. Plus my work spoke of a 50-100% pay raise within the year so while I’m comfortable with it now, I didn’t want to settle and regret it later especially as multiple promotions within the year are there waiting for me so awaiting the vehicle I added almost every package and option on.

But I mean my commute is short so I could either exercise it or take one of my two electric scooters too if the weather calls for it. Problem is being from Florida and getting here in October, its not ideal temps for me to feel inspired to do that yet.

I feel it will be worth it as well. I drive 12 miles round trip to work. Not a scooter commute but not far. I drive a ram 1500 that holds 28gal and that gets me about 300 miles or less if I pedal down. Still think I will come out ahead with the Diesel.

My commute is normally short but I've suddenly found myself driving 50 miles a day for a work thing.

My TJ is my daily and it's supercharged and runs on premium. I'm wishing I had my diesel.
