Surgery is easy - you fall asleep and when you wake up it's over.

Glad to hear it was easy-breezy! Congrats on making it through - make sure you take it easy for the first few days to let the mesh get settled.

Thanks. I’ve been walking all over the house, using a cane..doctor said to ambulate. Gonna wait a week or two before any heavy activity.

Never been under anesthesia either...What should I expect?

Thanks
Sleep in a comfy chair for 2-3 days post-surg... depending on where it is, can very difficult and painful to go from laying down to full sit-up position. Take your time rehabing, your body will guide you. Gallon of milk rule-- don't pick up more than that weight for a while, give your mesh a chance to set and develop some good scar tissue. Your stomach will be distended for a few weeks, this is normal.

Hope that it is all doing well! Sounds like you do better than me with anesthesia. I get sick from novocaine.
Like @bgenlvtex said, watch that poo. I rolled up a towel to hold pressure against my surgery. Wasn't orthoscopic though.
Oh, and it was the one time that laughter was not the best medicine. Laughing hurt.

Thank you..I've only been able to poo once. I haven't taken any of the painkillers and don't want to until I have a decent bowel movement. The pain is very tolerable but i'm taking it light for now. I asked the anesthesiologist to put something that would fight the nausea. I don't know what cocktail he used. But the whole process was amazing. Now if I can just poo i'd be a happy guy. lol

Ahem, "softeners" are your friend.

As long as you remain in close range of a "repository".

Fill in the blanks as you see fit.

Good deal. Hope I didn't scare you. Didn't realize you were at that level of anxiety. 99-and-lotsa-9s percent of the time it goes exactly as you experienced.

I had my appendix removed via emergency surgery a year ago and they did it laparoscopically. Follow the instructions to ween off your pain meds. I couldn't believe how good those things were and can absolutely see how people get hooked on them.

Take a look at TB-500 for recovery. The stuff is amazing.

I never took a single pain killer. I had hemorrhoids a week or two before surgery. Till this day that hemorrhoids are the worst pain I’ve ever felt.

TB-500 is a synthetic peptide that aids your body with healing and swelling reduction. So no worries on it being a pain killer.
