So I've got the 7" Uconnect with the non-amplified 8 speaker factory system. I did the Infinity 3.5" REF3032-cfx's in the upper dash and sound bar in Nov and they made a definite improvement over factory... but I find myself wanting more (who doesn't). So I'm going full Focal Access now with the 165AS3 3-ways up front, 165AS 2-ways in the sound bar, and a 10" 25A4 sub behind the rear seat in a custom box. Sub is here and the rest are on the way, and I'm knee deep in the enclosure buildup currently.
What I haven't decided on is an amp (or 2) for this setup and I could use some feedback from those who have done this already or have experience in this field.
This should be a good setup for what I want, but clearly not a top of the line build, so I need the amp to fit in that same middle-ground range. I plan to stick with the passive crossovers all around so essentially 4 channels plus the sub. Would not seem like the $ vs benefit of going dsp would be worth it, but I would certainly like to hear opinions either way as it is foreign territory for me since I haven't done anything car audio related to this extent in 20+ years.
Also, would like input on how y'all would suggest grabbing and flattening the hi-level signals from the 7" for this setup. I'm pulling new speaker wire all around for the components, so I can run some speedwire at the same time and grab my hi-level signal at all 4 corners and save any need for a T-harness at the radio. Will just an LOC like a LC7i be all I need, or am I missing something?
Thanks
