I know quite a few of us 'poor folk' here have decided to save some money (as I did) and get the HF Apex 12000 winch. Just as an FYI, I see it advertised this week at 30% off the regular price (which is $599 here where I live). Anyway, that's about $420 for the winch. Not a bad price by any means. Even adding the 2 year warranty, it still would be below $600.

The apex winch is awesome! It should have the wireless controller too. I love the wireless controller.

Unless they have changed something - the remote will work either wired or wireless - and I love the wireless.

Usually if you apply and get approved for HF CC you can get another 100 off that

Seems like a no-brainer to me. But then, it wouldn't have a "Warn" badge on the front of the JT. When I pull up to the valet at the restaurant to park the vehicle and he sees Badlands on the front, he may make a smart remark under his breath and give me a dirty look. I've learned to live with it.

Just put the Jeep on 4 Low and drive right over his valet stand! Haha!

Well, that´s the restaurant crowd who drive ice cream Jeeps would do. They spend the week polishing their Jeeps to show them off at ice cream shop gatherings, rather than risk scratching them or bumping a skid plate off-road.

The Badlands winch is the real deal. I´ve never known anyone to have a problem with one. Great winch for the money.

What sold me is the YouTuber Matt’s Off-road and his Off-road wrecker that he built. That beast has at least 6 Badlands winches on it and has never let him down so far.

I might have to run and get me one this evening. Not sure if this ad is any different than what you are posting but this says the sale ends on 8/14 vs 8/17. Maybe that's for the inside track club early access whatever that means. Probably need to search for a single front hoop for the bumper as well.

I think if you sign up as a HF member you, get another 10% off your initial purchase.

Those dates just mean that the Insider Club people get to purchase the items first (Mon - Thur). The general public have to wait until Fri - Sun to get the deals. The Insider thing is just a membership thing that you pay $29 per year for and get special prices on stuff throughout the year. They always have stuff listed on the website with member-only pricing. If you buy much stuff at HF, or even just one larger item, it is definitely worth it since you may save enough on a larger purchase to cover the $29 in one shot.

I got mine.
Similar deal, on Black Friday last year, one day only. Wireless/Wired remote came with it. I had just had a knee replaced, so it sat in the garage for a month. I ordered a winch adapter, from- I cant remember who, and mounted it inside the stock bumper.
I wanted to mount it in a Hitch rig, and carry it in the back, but that thang is heavy. Im old, and if I am tired and in the middle of nowhere on a hot muggy central FLorida summer day, I wont be able to get it out of the bed of the truck.
I measured the finders before and after, and when I mounted it in the bumper, the truck was 3/4" lower.
Matts Off Road Recovery wrecker sold me on the Badlands winches, too.

Now that you mentioned it, I should have measured my Rubicon (I see you have a '23, mine is a '24) before adding the winch. I took it for granted that it would be minimal (winch 70 lbs and plate about 20 lbs). I am surprised your rig was 3/4" lower. I forgot to ask, did your Rubicon come with the standard lighter bumper or the "winch ready" bumper?" I read here or somewhere that the springs included with the winch ready bumper may be a bit stiffer. Not really sure. But anyway, hope you enjoy your new stuff.

It came with the Winch Ready bumper.
I am quite sure it was 3/4"...I am doubting myself now. It was months ago. I took before and after pictures, as well as progress photos....I tried to find them, and cant. They are deep in my Jeep album on facebook.
