Not seeing the point in a step just inches below where you get inside.
Mines lifted and it would help someone who needs just something for leverage to pull their self up. My dad has a bad hip and limp and this would allow him to put his good leg on the step and then grab the handle and pull himself inside the jeep. It's not for me, I got at least 4 people in my family that could benefit from it

This. Also, those few inches help, along with not having to step as far over. For someone with a disability, those little things help immensely.

my wife wants me to get steps. i don't want them because it's more stuff hanging down to get caught on. This seems like a perfect solution to satisfy both of us.

But for $1000, my wife would say "i'll keep hopping in for free"

Exact thing my wife said when I showed her.

I put on Rockhard 4x4 rock rails , angled down, for about the same money. My 5’ tall wife loves them.

If another company can create these with the same materials, in 'Murica, for a cheaper price, then I'd say everyone can complain. Personally, I like them and would rather keep my money in 'Murica. I'm glad these exist and may end up buying.

I've been looking at a step to go with my rubi rails because well, I'm a fan of the rubi rails. I was looking for something easily removed and these hit the mark other than the price point. I mean are they crazy or something charging a price like this for these or am I crazy. Almost a $1000 to get 4?

Interesting, but…
I like the design, but it looks like it will actually get in the way. You’re only cutting 4-5 inches off your step in height. Seems like it’s easier just to learn and practice how to get in. Lift your foot in and rotate your hips so your butt cheek is aimed correctly and do a little hop holding onto the grab handle or steering wheel. When you step out your appt to dirty and or bruise the back of your leg.

A step shouldn’t be that high. This being said, $500 is a hefty price for something that will be mediocre at best missing its full potential function. When my buddy took off the factory steps on his JLUR and put on factory Rubicon take off sliders, both he and his shorter wife commented on how much easier it was to get into their Jeep. They no longer had to step over the step even after installing the Rubi take off suspension and 35x11.50’s.

Point being, if your going to get a step, make sure it comes down far enough to where it doesn’t get in the way of its intended utility.

True but if your only lifted a 1-3 inches it would be perfect In my opinion especially for someone like my dad who can't physical get his leg inside if the jeep but could get it to the step and then pull him self inside the jeep. Any higher than 3 inches then your right it probably would need to be something that comes down and not straight out. I particularly was looking at this one also for how easy it can be removed. I'm just over 3 inches in lift so it would be perfect for my needs. Those extra 4 or 5 inches don't seem like aot but it's more than you would think

This company keeps popping up on my facebook feed. I like the fact they use the factory rails as everyone just gets rid of them for steps right away. I have the Go Rhino Dominator steps and, like you said, being level with the rocker is pointless and very awkward to use.

The factory rails aren't very strong. They belong in the garage, and Rock Hard rails, either angled up (more protection at the mall from car doors) or angled down (better as a step, especially with grip tape on them) belong on the Gladiator.

These comments seem crazy to me because I've really beat a few pairs of the factory ones up on 2 jeeps and they are pretty solid for what they are and they can be used as a jacking point. Not saying they are or aren't better than the Rock Hard sets but they definitely aren't garbage. A ton people wheel with them and they do protect.

I actually had a set of the hard rock sliders on my JKU for the step for reference so I have owned a set of them for comparison.
