I agree. Ariats are great. Mine are 6-8 years old. Non slip sole that still looks new. Leather has aged perfectly.

When I first got them, they were really tight, after about a week, the perfectly molded to my feet, and just are the most comfortable thing I can wear.
old biker trick is to fill the boots with water, let soak a few minutes, then put them on and wear till dry (take a ride) .... fit is perfect

My buddies swear by Danners. They say invest in good tools and good boots. One makes you money the other will help preserve knees, backs, and other joints alike.

I like my timberland pros alot. I wear them nearly everyday....in an office. I don't really like dress shoes much.

I've worn red wings brand for over 20 years. Only pair of boots/shoes that I can guarantee won't bother me if I need to wear them for long periods of time. My average work days are 10+ hours in Florida heat and humidity on hot and uneven surfaces. Long days have been up to 40 hours continuous so Ive given them some good stress tests too.

Also I've heard of the water trick before, never had too use it though. Not sure if that means they fit better or we just use sweat instead.

Double H came highly recommended from the folks at a local boot store but after 5 months, the soles are separating. I'll clamp and shoe glue them to get some more miles out of them but I figured I'd ask what ya'll recommend. I called the store back yesterday and they actually recommended Ariat boots. I'm very hesitant to go that route as Ariat seems to be marketing and designing things fashionable vs actual durability when getting shit done. Any recommendations? I don't need a steel toe and a slip-on boot style would be best. Any recommendations? Thanks in avance!

I’ve worn double H for years with zero issues. I am a Steamfitter/Welder, a lot of hot summers in power houses and cold a$$ winters working ammonia on roof tops.. as long as you take care of them, they’ll take care of you

So I've gone with the following.

Bates, Danners, Rocky, Wolverine, Thorogood, Salomon, Keen.

6 pairs of Rocky SV2's, 3 pairs of Salomon Quest 4ds.

I run a 12.5 wide. So i run 13's if a company doesnt do half sizes.

I'm a commercial/industrial electrician, so Im in all sorts of environments. From concrete, to bluestone, ladders all the time too. I usually burn up boots every 6-9 months. Wear out the ball of the foot tread on soles. I'm not shy about replacing them as soon as I feel a negative. Gotta keep my feet/ankles/knees happy.

Currently rotating between 2 different models of USA made Keens, both carbon fiber safety toe. Super comfy, well built. Large toe boxes! Great traction, and love the overmoulded toe cap.

Gotta say, I'm sticking with Keens for quite awhile. Awesome boots.

Depends on what I'm doing. Welding and digging ditches, Red Wing, regular job as a maintenance mechanic, Keen. I wore Red Wing boots for 30 years digging ditches and welding, slip on. Keen steel toe wide toe box, put them on out of the box and go to work. Super comfy. Red Wing put them in the oven on low for about 5 minutes, pull them out saturate them in mink oil throw them on and go.
