Those side steps are a must, hopefully with the rail under and stretching to the back between tire and bumper.

I’m 6’5” 240 pounds and I fit better in my JL then my JK. I have the seat all the way back and never have had sound bar issues. I don’t recline the seat back out of the normal either. I love the leg room compared to the JK. My wife tells me I have no ass so maybe that’s the reason I fit without issue.
Leather JKUR too.

So here's a different take on height challenges....

I saw a ZR2 today at a local dealership and decided to take it for a spin...
I could bearly climb into the thing!

I'm 5-9 (and don't have a pointy head) and was suprised at how hard it was. My wife is about 5-4 and she would never be able to get into it...

Hope the Gladiator is easier to get into....
You mean because its so tall of the ground? No running boards?

Just get some automatic drop steps. I recommend Rock Slide Engineering. That's just my opinion
What about amp research powerstep? It does look like the rock slide engineering ones would do a better job of protecting from rocks.

Yeah I have the AMP Research steps on my F-350 and they work great. I think that you would first have to remove the factory rock sliders to be able to make them fit.

How do you think the amp research ones would perform as rock sliders? The rock slide engineering ones have a much narrower step, but it looks like the step goes inside the slider so it won't get damaged. If I recall the amp ones, the step is the slider.

I don't think the AMP steps would be any good as rock sliders and would not use them as such.
I need to look into the other ones but I'm hoping the Gladiator will make this a mute point.

RSE ones I mentioned are rated to a trail level 5 I believe. They are designed as a slider in addition to a power step. That's my main reason for recommendation

I sat in that same Overland at the Detroit show, both the rubi and Overland has leather not cloth. I’m 6’2” long torso and came nowhere near the roof panel, I would say avg build up to at least 6’4” would be fine.

Ppl who are 6’6” and taller make up well under 1% of the US population. Is FCA supposed to design a vehicle for this tiny niche segment of the market? My best advice to that guy is to consider purchasing an older Mercedes G-wagon (to try to keep in the same price range of a new Jeep), or maybe a nice Ford F-150 or Super Duty, with their AMP Research automatic running boards. Heck, if you want to be a fighter pilot in the USAF, the maximum allowable height for a pilot is 6’5”. Just sayin...

I just took delivery of my JT Rubicon a couple days ago with leather seats.
I'm getting cramps in my right leg from the goofy angle I have to hold my foot at to keep from flooring the gas pedal.
I have to keep my thigh partially lifted off the seat and tilt my toes up to keep it at cruising speed.
I'm 6' and 32" inseam, not 6' 6" by any means...

The JT is much closer to the firewall than a JK.
I also have a '14 JKU Rubi so I measured both from the gas pedal to the back of the seat cushion with the seat back at a "normal" tilt and the JT is 2" shorter than the JKU with the seat all the way back. If I stretch my leg out like I can in the '14, I hit the firewall in the JT.
Doesn't seem like much but the pedal has just over 2" of travel.
JKU = 44" JT = 42"
Doesn't help that the gas pedal is also 1 piece of plastic with no toggle on the pedal face either..
So far I have not found a way to move the pedal or seat track to gain the clearance I had on the '14..
I'm going to pull the seat this weekend and look for some option.

This sucks.

I am 6'2" - Flipping the mirror upside down buys you a LOT of vision. (The stem comes too far down when right side up IMO)

The more you drive your gladiator the better it will feel I had a 2019 f250 and when I got my gladiator it did feel different and a month it felt totally different I wouldn’t start taking things apart just yet give it a few more miles in the seat it will get better

I’m 6’4” with a 36” inseam and just drove 1,000 miles over the last two days from Atlanta to San Antonio in my leather seat, Rubicon. I have no issues with how I fit, in fact it was a much more comfortable drive and seating than my wife’s MB AMG suv. No issues here!
