My F150 had the fold out bed extender which had little legs on it. Hooking the bags over the legs worked very well for holding stuff in place. I'm hoping the aftermarket will come up with something similiar.

This was a godsend on my Nissan Frontier. I am waiting for this to be available for the Gladiator.

Great idea! As soon as anything like this is available for the JT, someone should revisit this post!

I haven't looked into it for the JT yet, but other trucks have the bed extender option, with the tailgate closed the cage type design folds 180° into the bed, creating a nice little section for smaller loads.

On another thought and something i may try once i take delivery of mine, is the expanding rod idea, I'm sure they have expensive versions of this for box trucks and moving vans, but I'm picturing something like two cheapo shower curtain rods, expand one a couple inches off the floor of the bed, and then a second one about halfway up, maybe 2/3 up. Blocking your groceries off from rolling around the rest of the bed. Maybe get stiff plastic bird netting and attach it between the rods, so when you dont need them, you can roll the netting around the rod and store it easier in the garage. Very rough ideas for now. I often have propane tanks or 5gal gas tanks i want to put in the bed of my trucks and use similar ideas to hold that stuff in place. I'm curious to see more ideas. Post up pics!
They've made these for years. Search Amazon for "cargo bar". Indispensable. I've had one since my first pickup and am going to use it in my Gladiator (if it ever comes in).

Well, until AMP research releases their Gladiator Bed Extender product, my Yeti will have to do. I messaged AMP research and they told me a few more weeks.

Sorry, I got excited and didn't fully comprehend your post. I thought your second post was after you had aquired the AMP bed extender.
Hahaha - yeah I understand your excitement. I really want one. I miss my old one on my x-truck.

What’s wrong with bungee cords?
I’ve used them in truckbeds, strung across and through the bag handles. Keeps boxes from moving too.

I just bolted some coat hook type things to the existing threads in the bed. I hook the grocery bags on them. Pics tomorrow.

The AMP research bed extenders are adjustable should fit any vehicle. I saved mine off my Tacoma, just haven’t received my gladiator yet.

Only issue I can foresee is the mounting, I’m going to hate drilling into a new truck bed.

I guess I’m just cheap but I keep a couple milk crates in my truck at all times. If they get stolen or uv damaged, who cares. I’d recommend a few “cold bags” stuffed behind the rear seat
