When your Guardian sub expires. If you don't pay, you get nothing in the app.Shit happens….. Hopefully, now that you got the app working, you can use that.
I have a 2024 and the Jeep app still works (lock, unlock, and information). Obviously…the remote start doesn’t work via the app anymore (I ain’t paying extra for that). My 3/36 warranty is good for another year yet.
Does the App - lock/unlock - stop working when your warranty expires? Or does it work the entire time that you own the vehicle?
I’m sorry to hear this happened but I really appreciate you posting it. I just came in from checking tire pressure, etc to go for the first mtb ride tomorrow and I always carry my giant friggin Jeep key in the pocket of a small hydration pack. I can see myself 100% doing exactly what you did tomorrow after my ride.Went hiking today at Germantown MetroPark and made a loop. My keys were in my back pack. When I got back to my truck, I was able to unlock the Jeep and opened he tail gate to have lunch. I got ready to go, closed my he tail gate and the truck locked. I have a solid cover and don’t want to destroy it. Luckily I have my phone and was able to call AAA.
Had the same thing happen this past winter. Thankfully I have a roll up bed cover and was able to pry up the side and get my arm into the bed to get the keys.If the keys are close to the tailgate, probably too far away from the sensor.
At least on my truck it wouldn't work. If me and my fiance are both standing beside the cab the door will unlock for her with the keys in my pocket, but if I'm still alongside the bed it won't.
After the 3/36?When your Guardian sub expires. If you don't pay, you get nothing in the app.
1) IIRC it's about 30/45/60 seconds. Read in my owner's manual back in August.1) Yea… if you unlock the truck and don’t open the ‘doors’ …it’ll lock itself in a matter of time (I don’t know the exact time).
2) Proximity sensors will only work if you’re right next to the door (or almost). So, I can understand why it won’t work with the keys in the bed.
3) And, I’m pretty sure…. If your keys were anywhere close enough for the proximity sensors - the truck doesn’t lock. I’ve left my keys in the drink trays and tried to lock it using the button on the door, and it won’t lock. Which…makes sense!!
I’m curious, now I gotta go out and try with the key in the bed.
Key in the bed is not close enough, your key must be right at the driver’s door. The easiest way now? You need an active subscription for remote unlock. Or a second key?Proximity is not turned off, but I cannot open the doors
