I am planning to have a Hamburger's Supercharger installed on my JT, wondering if others have experience with this particular unit, or with others from this manufacturer.

Power claims are 425 crank HP/365 lb-ft of torque, and includes 3/36 warranty for powertrain and kit components.

Apparently they are in talks with Jeep to be the official provider of dealer-installed/warrantied SC kits, much like AEV is dealer-installed (and warrantied). I can't verify this other than from my shop, and I trust them, but I like the "trust but verify" method.

Curious to know of others' experience with Hamburger SC kits.

Having to lower the alternator for me is not a good idea.

Can you clarify why? Water issues? And is this relocation different from other SC kits?

Water, dirt, mud. There is a reason OEM mounts them high along with other SC manufactures. You lose an alternator you lose everything.

Little concerned you have to cut up so much. Looks like a neat unit otherwise.

Thanks for the input everyone. I switched to Magnuson to make it easier to revert back to OEM as easily as possible (if i ever needed to).

Both seem to be great kits but Magnuson had the advantage of not cutting anything (or relocating alternator to a lower position).

Once installed, we expect pictures, details, and a review. Thanks.

What does installation typically run for a SC?

I like the look of the Edlebrock Supercharger. Sleek.

Most companies will discount the install when you purchase the kit from them. For an example (Magnuson Kit) we do a discounted install of $750.00 when you purchase from us. If you bring in your own kit then the install is $1250.00 so long as it is a new unopened kit.

How is your Magnuson JT doing? I am leaning this direction at the moment. This is my DD, so I prefer not to have to futz with it.

I drive it every day and could not be happier. I have about 2000 miles on it since the MagnaCharger install, no issues at all.
