Hard top removal

I would LOVE to have a rolldown rear window!

Roll down window on a future release would justify the trade in upgrade to me. I would even be happy with a removable back window like the Chevy Avalanche as I always thought that was a great design and I used to pop the window out all the time because it was so easy.

Not sure I totally understand what you are getting at. The removable one pc back section goes up and over the rear door and has a sliding open back window, when off it will tip forward, that is what the 2 rubber pc in the t-top bag are for, they go on each corner where it wants to tip forward to prevent the corner from chipping. In theory a strong guy could get in the bed and reach through the back window and lift the back off. The top is hard to carry due to balance, it want to tip forward and there is not enough room to put both hands on just the back of the top and the fact you need to carry (if using two people) back the 5ft of the bed before you can lower it or really do anything with.

This thread is from over a year ago before we really knew a whole lot about what the production truck became. This was a thread from people a wondering a year ago how the hard top was going to be constructed.

Yea! I was planning on bragging about how I lift the entire top off by myself at 47 years old until I realized the thread was from last year! Then I said, ahhhhhhh!

I wouldn't upgrade for one, but I sure would have paid extra for it! See, e.g., Toyota Tundra.
