I don't get the concept, tailgates are NOT supposed to be sealed so you don't end up with a redneck swimming pool every time it rains.
If you have added a camper shell or cover that’s less of an issue. A tailgate seal can also help keep dust off your gear

The concept is to keep the dirt and dust from covering everything in the bed of your truck when you have a Tonneau cover. The tailgate is the greatest offender (get it). I used weather stripping suggested by @ShadowsPapa in an older post and had mixed results but that could have been the result of my installation technique(?). Do a little research and you'll see others mention what they have used successfully. @Thunderspud has a point about selection and availability.

I also used foam type weatherstripping from Lowe's that is installed by removing the paper strip and using the glued side to hold it in place.

I just went to Menards and bought one regular door seal and one expanding door seal. I have enough left to do it a few more times when it wears out.

I have a full bed rug in my bed: it’s one piece that lays in the bed and extends onto the tailgate so that when the tailgate closes, it’s seals along the bottom edge completely. For the vertical parts of the bed opening, I used this product from Amazon. Together, the bed rug and the foam seal keep nearly all dust out of the bed under my cover. I know you didn’t ask about the bed rug, but just in case that has been on your radar: the one that extends into the tailgate does wonders to control the dust ingress.

I went super cheap! The bedrug seals the bottom of the gate. For the sides, simple packing foam! Whenever I’m in the dirt I just place them on the vertical and shut the tailgate! Works real well.

I am tempted as it’s only $25.00, but am curious as to anyone having tried it yet. I get lots of dust in bed under the tonneau cover. The link indicates It’s a one size fits all.

I think this one is a better choice, because the Gladiator has a HUGE gap and this one covers everything.

As someone who used to work in truck accessory shop and installed tailgate seals. I never understood the point of them. If you are that worried, buy a Wrangler or some other SUV. And also, seems 75% of the people who had them installed were never 100% happy with them.
