@WILDHOBO didn't you have the 1500 springs on your rig?
I have bds 3” lift springs for a ram 1500. But quite a while back I added 1.5” to that, netting well over 6. But I’m ready to try something else. I did that when no HD options existed for the gladiator yet. I bought them in 2021.

I dot know why anyone would buy a Gladiator if they didn’t toe or haul with it. I’d have a JLU if I didn’t tow and haul regularly. I tow and haul more than most of the HD trucks I see around here.
I mean I get it but there also is a limit to the Dana44 I suspect also bearing, seals, I can see beefing it to haul maybe up to 2000 but man if empty it would ride rough as a cob unless it was partially loaded all the time. Correct me if I am wrong .

Mine rides rougher than some in the rear, but really not bad. Ram 1500 springs aren’t very harsh.

Guessing 600 I’m planning on taking thenrigbthru the scales next trip
Only 600lbs and you need higher spring rate? Trying to understand, is it more lift you want, less squat? I've had 1600 lbs back there in tile, 600lbs in the cab, and my mods on Clayton springs and I still wasn't on the bump stops so just trying to understand why you need that much spring rate.

Stronger springs give you a rake when empty, and the goal is nothing lower than level when loaded. If I’m even near the bump stops when not actually bouncing, the springs aren’t doing their job.

I get it, but he's talking about 600 lbs and I'm talking about 2500 lbs and I still had about 4 inches between the bump stops and the cup. At 600lbs it doesn't sound like he needs higher rate springs, probably needs different springs front and back instead. Maybe 4.5 in the front and 4.5+ a 1 inch spacer, or 3.5 front and 4.5 rear for example. That's why I was asking what he's after because he may just need longer rear springs, not necessarily higher rate coils which will stiffen up the ride.

Mine rides level on stock Rubicon LE springs with up to 1500 lbs in the bed. It starts to squat after that. I’ve never hauled more than 1700-1800 lbs.

It’s not about haul and tow capacity completely. Sometimes the rig has the rack and gear and others it’s partially setup with the drawer system and bed cover. But it’s a fight when loaded and off-roading. I can sacrifice a little ride quality when not kitted out for a better ride and control when doing trips.

That makes sense with the aspect of off-road control.

May want to look at something like the Clayton triple rate rears then. I went with them since the triple rate let it basically adjust to the load, when not loaded it rides in the first 2 rates, when heavily loaded the heavy duty 3rd rate keeps it from excessive squat and bucking.
