I don’t have the link. But I saw this it’s a headrestcsafe that when closed look like your. Basic headrest. But it opens from the side via. A code. Biometric or key. Once installed you can’t just pull the whole headrest. Big enough for a pistol. Thoughts ? A little pricey. But the idea is awesome ?

Not sure if this is the same one, but it looks pretty neat.

I am a bit concerned about getting anything in and out of it, I feel like trying to get my hand in between the headrest and the B-Pillar could get weird. I kinda like the idea of putting on one the passenger side, with the code facing the driver seat.

Little too pricey for me, and a little curious about how safe it is, but a neat idea for sure.

Noble idea, but just not practical for a real world application.

I’m not sure what I would keep in something like this. Pistols are hard to use when they are locked up in the jeep…

Be careful talking about how you carry your firearms here, the safety Nazis might get riled up.

I like the idea for when parked (short term storage), but the price is steep. I often go into the post office and cannot carry. I refuse to leave my pistol unsecure. I have a small liberty safe, but it tumbles around and is only secured by a cable. This solution is out of site and "hidden". The headrest is the last place I would look for a firearm, but I'm not a criminal. ?

Why not lock it up in the lockable arm rest or glovebox? The rear seat back rests both lock. Why not stuff it back there?

If my NYC concealed carry app ever goes through I'll probably buy this as it complies under NYC's stringent gun transportation requirements (glove boxes not eligible).

I have Vaultek lifepod safe that tucks under the seat and has a cable attached to the seat as well, it’s the perfect size for under the seat and is great for places I can’t carry.

In an event of a crash, will this thing hit the back of my head like a brick? It is padded but definitely a lot heavier than a regular headrest, instead of protecting from whiplash you might end up with a concussion…

This was my biggest question as well ha... I'm not a buyer or in the market for that price, but seems like a lot of possible mass way up high on the top of the seat right behind heads in a big crash...

Plus, that looks like a cheesy drywall anchor at the bottom ha? Granted, I'm sure in most cases that will never get tested because who yanks on a headrest, but still made me chuckle.

Not knocking the product, I could be wrong on both.

I have absolutely no faith they are secure enough to store anything. Just don't trust it much.

Man, I wouldn’t want to be sitting in that seat when someone takes it out. For some reason I don’t like a barrel a few inches from the back of my head, that’s just me though. There are other solutions I prefer.
