Hey guys - my Gladiator just started developing a rattle when i am on rougher roads or hit bumps and i believe it is coming from the front freedom panels by the sound bar - so the back of the front freedom panels. It seems to be from where the two latches are by the sound bar. I have tightened all the bolts on the latches as well as tightened the sound bar which were slightly lose. It is still happening though. Is there a bolt or something by those latches and sound bar that I don't see that can be tightened? Thanks!

Some people have put a piece of foam weatherstripping between the plastic sound bar and the roll bar. Check out this video:
Thanks - I may have to look into that. It seems that it is coming from where those latches are though for the front panels by the sound bar.

This might sound like a crazy question, but did you get the spray-in bed liner? I had a slight rattle when I first got my JT. Rather than inspect it, I did what any careful mechanic would do: I smacked the sound bar with my fist. A pea sized piece of bed liner material popped out. Problem solved. I wouldn't normally recommend punching vehicles, but it might just be some wandering debris.

It came sprayed in from the factory.

Same here. Might be the same issue. Production sequence may have trapped a tiny bit in there.

I was on a washboard road when I heard it bouncing loosely. Quick smack and it came out. It didn't seem to be trapped, just caught in the tray of the sound bar plastic.

Mine happened within 100 miles. Your debris, if that's what it is, might be larger and was wedged for a time.

If there is a way to drop the sound bar plastic instead of hitting it, might be easier to get the floater out. Would provide access too to see if it may be a screw or whatever that is part of the speaker assembly.

Looks like I know what I'm doing this weekend. I had tracked my speaker rattle to the sound bar on Wednesday but hadn't thought much yet about how to fix it. Thanks for posting the video!

I had that. Took the speaker cover off of the offending speaker, and there was a loose screw in there. I could see where a screw was missing, bit it was there.
