I’m curious to hear from other ecodiesel owners that are running the Mopar lift towing about 3800 lbs.

For me once I get moving it’s OK.

The turbo lag is really awful IMO

I can’t safely cross a road without pre-spooling the turbo. (Gas / brake)

I tow at altitude (7000-9000 ft)

I do my best to stay out of the throttle or it will hit 260s in oil and derate.

just curious to hear from you guys.

Would gears help?

Yes, the turbo lag is on the bad side, If you are towing at high altitude with the tires pictured in your avatar I would suggest a set of gears.

I have Mopar 2” springs, tow 6000 with mine on 40s and it does great. The “turbo lag” is really turbo lag at all, it’s throttle response tuning. The Banks Pedal Monster gets rid of all of delay and more. I traded my 3.6 JTR on 37s for the JTRD and while I loved the torque once moving, the throttle lag was horrible. I ordered the Banks Pedal Monster and Derringer, when they arrived I initially only had time to install the Pedal Monster and ran it that way for a week, the difference was night and day. The Derringer helps and is noticeable but the Pedal Monster is a game changer.

Agreed, IMO a throttle controller takes out most of the programmed pedal lag. There is still some but way less than pure stock. Worth a try in my opinion, relatively low cost and easy to install/uninstall.

No Turbol lag for me but some peddle lag. As other mentioned, with Banks you can tune this and I do love my peddle monster as well along with the Derringer and iDash

Pedal lag is taken care of with the Banks Pedal Monster. There still is turbo lag. The first 2 gears wide open. The power is muted. When it shifts into 3rd. I can feel the difference. Full boost.
