Is that a factory reset in JScan?
Not necessary a factory reset, no. JScan allows you to go back to factory settings in case you made a change you didn't want. Or to put everything back to factory if you are selling it.

How do you do that? I didn't see that in the settings.

Go to JScan settings > Trace & Restore Adaptations to either check the history of changes or revert all settings to factory.

Most, if not all, Adaptation pages have on the top of page "restart all ECU's". This puts it all back to before you made a change.

Are you sure. I think that is just to reboot the ECU.

I bought a license, dongle, and bypass cable in 12/22 for a total of $83.86. I've only used it once so far to correct my speedo after upgrading from the stock Sport S 31" pizza cutters to stock Rubicon take-off wheels/33" tires. Hooked everything up, made the change, unplugged everything... haven't touched it since. At some point I'll upgrade all the lighting to LED and will go back in and change the setting for that. I didn't see the need to spend 3x that for a Tazer just to do that. It's a little intimidating and not completely intuitive at first if you've never down anything like this, but it's not bad. There are several YouTube videos out there that show you step by step how to use it. The hardest part is connecting/disconnecting the bypass cables... it's tight up in there. Buying the extension cables is a really good idea if you think you're going to use it a lot.

I've used Jscan for four years. It does everything you'll need it to do. You don't have to "marry" it to any vehicle. And I have the OBD adapter, SGW cables, and the licenses for five Mopar vehicles and still came out cheaper than the other brand.

So one more simple question….after you make your changes you just disconnect your obd2 adaptors and plug the factory ones back in and your changes stay?

Yep that’s it. You don’t even have to remove it if you don’t want to.

I went to the dealer for inspection in December and had the bypass cable plugged in. They just hooked their tool right up to that and did their reading.
Jscan is the best!
