How Much Did You Pay For Your Gladiator

That's technically true - however, some dealerships won't try hard, or at all, or put you on the back burner if not a customer. It's a risk.

Some will try to get your business, but there's a whole lot of posts in these very forums about dealerships either dragging their feet, or suggesting you "take it where you bought it".
Sorry, I deal locally or with real people...........
We don't live in the "look 'em in the eye with a firm handshake" era anymore. Car sales is more of an entry level job than a career now, chances are the person you buy your jeep from won't be there when you go back for service.

And on the other side, if a dealer wants to gain a customer, they will do everything they can to provide service. Dealers make more off new customers than returning customers anyways.

I will add that everything I have seen from all 5 of the CDJR dealers in my area is absolute shit. Worst customer service of any brands I have ever dealt with.

Yes, it's a rarity for sure - I totally agree with you, just saying there are some exceptions and if you find a decent one, and like them............

23 years ago was before digital resumes and online applications, aka the "look 'em in the eye with a firm handshake" era. That poor bastard got locked in and didn't have anything else to pivot to lol

Believe it or not, he enjoys it. He started with the company when there were a tiny, individually owned outfit with a very small lot and only a couple of garage doors.
He's getting old enough now, though, why bother switching.

I guess - if I liked what I was doing, was good at it, and it paid the bills - I'd be happy, too.
But man, that's a tough game to be in -
I remember when I drove into a dealership lot a few years ago, there were 4 sales people like ants crawling to fresh sugar coming up at me. Like the zombie apocalypse or something!
Scary.
I finally said - I'm just here to buy some parts.

There is no way in #%@#$ I'd ever take that job. I'd clean out grease pits at McDonalds first.

My local Ram ,fiat, Chrysler dealer doesn't even sell Jeeps but is licensed to work on them and I bought a 2015 Ram brand new from them and they treat me like Gold.

Guess what I did today, At Carvana you get 7 days to see if the car is what you want and you can exchange it up to 3 times if you want.

Today, I called them up, and doing the exchange, exchanging our Mojave for the Mojave X

Wanna know how long it took me? Seriously, 15 mins. New truck will be here Saturday.
I mean, total time spent, 15 mins and the dude on the phone was a total bro, 5 of those mins were talking about him wanting a Mojave and how he can't wait to pay off his current car and get one. :CWL:

Show me a dealership that will do that. I put 700 miles on it. Seriously. 15 mins, show me. what dealership takes care of their customers like that.

When i called, and asked if it's possible, the guy said, not only is it possible, we encourage you to get the exact car you want, if we have something else you want, we'll make it happen.

Guess what the cost was to do this?

Well they give you 7 days and 400 miles. (Pro tip they will extend it to 600) Officially they charge $1 per mile over the 400. But he gave me an extension to 600 miles, so I'm paying for the 100 miles over 600 im at. Yup, $100 bux. I took a 300 mile road trip today, if i did this yesterday wouldn't of cost a dime.

Come on show me a dealership that would do this and only take 15 mins.

Anyways, in other news I'm upgrading to Mojave X saturday. :CWL:

Some dealers indeed do such a thing - do a search. Yes, real car dealerships. Not all, but some.

Will Carvana give you the affiliate pricing? Take a trade?

Carvana offered me thousands less than the local dealership did on my trade in 2022 and I got the affiliate discount as well as the Jeep incentives.

Good luck - I can't recommend Carvana to anyone - but glad you are happy with them.

(on the other hand - that's the issue, too - you don't get to look, drive and check out the vehicle and compare with Carvana - so there's more likely to be regret - thus, their policy. I'm an informed buyer and go in knowing, and take test drives. Usually our dealership will just hand you the keys and say "come see me when you get back")

Went in uninformed, and unable to do a test drive.............. There's no difference between the Mojave and the X version other than power seats, steel bumpers, that sort of thing. It's just more optioned, heavier and a much much lower payload.

Wish I got a leftover 2024 earlier this year when deals were insane.

More than likely they do not even submit the title and tag paperwork until after the 7 day window. That allows them to still resell your turn in as "new".

Well again I say it is sorta wrong to be able to sell again to someone else a so called "new" truck that has 700 miles on it .
To me that ain't new . 700miles is a long enough period for a lot of oppsies and uh oh's , giant potholes, romping around doing burnouts etc.
Not saying that Geek did that but I am sure it has went on. Sorry but aint no way in #$!! I am buying from that place.

I agree but what is right and legal is two different things. Still the buyers decision to take that on and not like they can hid the mileage. Plus all warranty starts at first in service mileage to next owner when it is finally titled and registered.

Exactly, and why I hate those outfits. If they titled it, they can't possibly resell it as new. 400-600 miles, I'd be suspect and refuse delivery
And if you get into a scrape in that window - you have no title, nothing, and Carvana gets tangled in a nasty bunch of legal and paperwork issues.
I'm shocked that in Iowa they allow 30 days to properly transfer the title - a heck of a lot can happen. What if you are driving it, get hit, and it's totaled. Who holds the title? It gets really messy. Carvana is also known for not following through on titles as well - people have fought to get the title.

Carvana is known for working the system and using loopholes and such. And known for people fighting to get a title a month after delivery.
No way in hell I'd buy from them without a title in my hand at delivery and a vehicle that shows under 25 miles on the odo.
Anything else - sorry, take it back.
Doesn't take much to find all of the people who have constant hassles with 'em.
They offered me something like 38,000 for my trade vehicle to buy it outright. I got 44,000 from the dealer - and under MSRP on the new. Every time I check with them, its a lowball offer that others easily beat. They've had legal issues, were on the verge of bankruptcy, etc.
