If you mean return on investment via mpg; that wasnt even a consideration. I got the exhaust because i like the way it sounds, i tuned it so it runs correctly with a more appropriate fuel curve, and the intake because the stock is a restriction. For me its about making it run right and efficiently as possible. I do care about tank range though.

For towing; the first thing you should do is regear deep imo
Yea I thought I remember reading you did it more for performance and range. But who knows... if gas gets to $5 a gallon... you might have something?

Any chance we can get a sound clip of the exhaust?

Wow, this thread is awesome! I drive an hour to work and would be very happy if I could build my JT the way I wanted and still get around 20 mpg through the week. Especially since 90% of my driving is 65mph on the highway. In for more Results!

How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s
I don't have time to read pages in this thread or watch videos but I'll guess it involves putting the truck in neutral and freewheeleing downhill :CWL:

Seriously though, at what speed are you getting "20+ MPGs" on 37's?

If you have a brief, non-video answer I'm interested

What Exit? This exit, Bubba. If'n you don't have time to read the thread, you won't have time to make the mod...so the answer ain't impotent, or maybe it is. In either case, your question is regressive and we aim to be progressive...kinda like sliced bread. Read the friggin thread...I don't have as much time to live as you...and can't rehash the past.

It was the 60-70 range. Only takes a few minuets to read. At least for most people it does. This last trip after his regear he still got over 20 mpg with I think a 400 pound load. I would recommend watching the videos and reading through the post. Just a few simple bolt on parts.

There are a few in my thread
So what I’m getting is that there’s only one tuner you should be getting and that’s superchips pulsar? That’s the most economical one though?

The key here isnt the exact parts used, but rather the approach. So pick the tuner, exhaust, and airbox that fits your needs.
Not at all. I like the brands/products i got for reasons i discuss. I dont know what capabilities the afe scorcher has; but it is advertised as a fuel controller. The livernois tune is excellent. Im working with superchips on the pulsar v4 because i like the form factor better than cutting the ecu; to the extent that it is possible.... but thats a personal preference for now.

My only primary point is that the stock intake and exhaust are restrictive; and the stock tune is too lean; and that correcting this has benefits to drivability.

That’s a major reason I got the mopar intake over others. I’ll be adding the aev or safari snorkel.

Since you have stock filter capability and the lower box is the same, it will work. I think the holley would end up flowing more, but the majority of the restriction seems to be in the small size of the airbox lid, the diameter of the intake outlet, and the pipe design. The mopar fixes all those issues leaving the lower as standard, and able to mount the snorkel.
