Does anyone have any news? Does anyone have a credible update. It's the end of September when the far out edition is supposed to be available for order, you would think if those orders open a fix is pending, I have heard nothing, my dealer has heard nothing.

does anyone know anything?

If there was credible new info, it would be out there and spread to the masses.

You're not wrong,

just getting impatient, I ordered this Jeep in January, and I haven't been able to do more than just visit it at the dealer every couple of weeks

Maybe check out the Ford and GM boards for some insight. Same issue with the same Bosch pump.
Then report back :)

Nothing as far as I’m aware. I’m digging daily as I have metal showing up in my fuel filter and am expecting a boom moment anyday….

The vehicle has lost about 50% of its value per the only dealer that had an offer for me.

I would avoid investing in a diesel….

If you want a jeep with torque… the 392 is the only Jeep option IMO….

The 3.6 works too… but I expect towing you will find redline a lot……

I don't have any info, but I did order a diesel glad last month and the order was scheduled but that's it since then. I did see on here in the NEW ORDERS section that someone ordered a Far Out edition, so I guess their taking orders.

Talking with my dealer shop foreman, he said they've received info on the "fix" and it's about $12k per vehicle and involves replacing the entire fuel system. He's waiting to see if there is an inspection or verification process to proceed with the work. The other side of the discussion is who's paying for the fix...

I wonder where your dealer shop foreman is actually getting his info?

Most times they release everything at once as a formal TSB or Recall Instructions update that will give detailed instructions and what the new hardware part numbers will be.

They generally do not release incomplete info to the dealerships ahead of a formal announcement as things may change and may go a totally different way.

If one thinks about it, they probably knew what the true actual needed fix is within weeks of first reported problems. The official fix we get is going to be tempered by lawyers and accountants and as you mentioned, who is going pay for it will probably factor in how much depth of a fix it will be.

Far out edition as been available for order back in August…. The order I’m tracking is in the warehouse storage pending final inspection. Timing wise I think it’s the strike ??‍♂?. Delivery is supposed to be October 30th.

He's getting his info from multiple sources which should be taken with a grain of salt.

The fix he's received for several EcoDiesel failures is to replace the entire fuel system, clean the tank, etc.. which came down from a star case.

Interesting....you are correct. I just did a ranom search of a Gladiator EcoDiesel for sale and searched the recall on Mopar by vin and got this where at the bottom it says repair parts are available. Not sure if that means the actual fix though.

This was posted on the Jeep Wrangler JL & JT Eco-Diesel Facebook page claiming that the recall is live.
