Ha! We aren’t the brightest bunch are we? Fun..yes. Bright…. Not so much.
The first time I got caught in the rain in a Jeep was over 30 years ago. I’ve been babying this one for 2 1/2 years. Just a bit different now that we have so many electronics and …this thing costs more than my previous 4 Jeeps combined.

Oh man… hella of a drive for sure. I’ve been there… laughed all the way home.

I hope the drying out goes good.

Wow, any electrical damage from the water?

It's happened to me a few times now. It's why I'm looking for a soft top now. I don't mind it so much, unless it's on the way to work. I don't like sitting at my desk soaking wet

Only once in the JT, but numerous times in the TJ...
I've also been caught out in pretty heavy rain in the TJ. And had it in water deep enough it was touching the bottom of the seat, no small feat given it's stance. Never any electrical problems to speak of, aside from the typical bad grounding points that always need addressed at some point.

I hope the Gladiator is as happy to get a little wet.

Also a trick if anybody ever finds themselves with a soaked interior and need to dry it out- Seal it all up and let it idle for a couple hours with the heat and a/c cranked all the way. It'll dry right up.

If you follow the weather in Colorado you know we went from 86 to 30 in a day. We got dumped snow... Well over 12 inches.... Check the snow on my rig just from Saturday morning. This was less than 24 hours...I do not have a rack on my roof. That's just snow.
I have been topless since March. Was eyeballing the weather and it "looked" like the sleet and snow was not due til about 1pm on Friday.
Had graduation for our school at 9am on Friday....
Plan was to go to graduation and then throw the Jeep together after.

Boy was I shocked to walk out in a brand new suit to a Jeep covered in sleet.
Threw freedom panels on and a towel over the seat and drove to school.
Assembled Jeep after graduation and dried it off.

You gotta laugh it off. Favorite is sitting at a light getting stared at as it rains....
Part of the experiences....besides...it's just water.

Happened to me just last night, went out to dinner with the F-tops off, beautiful evening. Just as we asked for the check, I looked outside and see it’s pouring rain. Since my wife paid for dinner, I let her sit in the dry back seat while I slapped the panels on and drove home with various bits dripping on me 😆. Not as wet as some others here, but there was a puddle under my coffee cup this morning. Beautiful day today, so I opened everything up and it was dry by lunch.

Ironially, I bought a softbtop that afternoon, if I installed it instead of cutting the grass, we would have stayed dry

My sister-in-law just got a new Wrangler. She left her Jeep out in a massive rainstorm with the top down and it was completely flooded. She said it took her hours with rags and buckets to get all of the water out. I asked why didn't she just pull the drain plugs, and she looked look at me with the most puzzling look like what the heck am I talking about. She had no idea there were drain plugs in the floor pans! The sad thing is this is not her first Wrangler 😂

It really gets fun when you get the pop-up showers in S. Fl!
Been there, in Florida too.

A couple of years back a friend of mine and I went on a drive to central AL from N. AL out of no where a flipping rain storm blows up 5 plus hours driving in rain no top or doors. Funny that you posted this thread, earlier his wife and I were laughing about Jeff and me having that happen. Still a good memory of that trip and his short cut back home. He died about a month or so back. 😔 He had became one my few true friends and as his wife said I was best his best friend as I thought of him.

My LJ has had drain plugs out since I bought it but the floor mats for it don't. :headbang:
