Im liking the jeep deflector. Doesn't actually look bad on there. For rubber bumpers, I ended up only putting on three out of the 4, on the hood, though I put the wrong ones on the left and right edge. Used the larger size bumper since it fit fine.

He also claims a small mpg/e range increase. He is a bit of a hyper miler
Now that's a hoot. Better range with a device that interrupts smooth air flow.
Frankly it doesn't look that much different from the MOPAR piece - maybe a bit more of a radical radius upward, but not by much.
Wonder if that one is wind tunnel tested, or if they used a computer aid to design it. Studies have found that the more upright, and taller they are, the worse they are for working.

Yea smooth airflow over an suv isn’t really a thing. Cars just can’t be practically built for people to face forward with a windshield.
If it does quiet noise maybe it is a thing? Looks like Canada did research and says no. It hurts But it’s only a thing when you hit aerodynamic drag relevant speeds.

It’s no moronic roof top tent anyway. Why not just pull a trailer everywhere. Less impactful to drive and mpg.

This is an ancient thread someone dug up…
I thought I’d get tons of rock dings on the front edge, but so far nothing. Just windshield chips.

You can't just pull a trailer everywhere. Not practical, and really - just as much if not more impact. Try pulling your fishing boat, a car hauler, or other things and a camper, too.
Good reasons to have RTTs and racks. Some of course do it to impress, some (most) actually use them. If I didn't do the truck tent thing, I'd need a RTT type setup for my uses.

Funny, last speed records have been set with people facing forward and a windshield and some of the lowest drag vehicles out there have windshields with drivers facing forward.
