Stellantis is way behind on the mid-sized truck power/economy curve.

The GM/Chevy 2.7 4 cylinder turbo goes like a bat outta hell compared to my Gladiator.
The Tacoma is peppy, but no match for the GM.
Still haven't tried the Ranger, but even the Raptor only delivers equivalent torque to the GMs.

I used to pray for the Hurricane, but after seeing the Hellish nightmares about how it's put together, and how you have to take the entire body off to get to anything, I really can't see me getting excited about it.

Looks like the Ranger Raptor is quite a bit quicker than the 2.7L Colorado.

According to Car and Driver, 14.1 second 1/4 mile for the Ranger Raptor and 15.5 for the 2.7L Colorado.

And yet somehow the lowly pentastar manages the same 15.5s 1/4 mile in the gladiator. So much for Chevys illusion of more power?

Dakota custom offers the do-it-yourself kit with upgraded transmission for 19,500, you add the motor. They also offer the kit without the transmission. RPM extreme said it will be the end of the year before they have the GM conversion kit done. American 4x4 said they can design you a kit to run on 87 instead or 93. Make sure to use the diesel or 392 springs up front. Really need to go with an aluminum motor to save weight.
