I haven't had my JT savaged so far but the little bastards have hit my Power Wagon twice this year. The first time they chewed every coil primary wire and 3 of 4 sensors along the drivers side head and ONE wire in the ECM bundle which is diagonally on the opposite side of the hood. A small 'opening' in the underhood blanket looked puffy and resulted in a very satisfying thunk when the shop-vac hose was pushed against it. It took about 3 hours to properly repair the harness... can't imagine dealer cost.
At work I place Mouse Blockers into security parking gates with about 80% success... they don't seem to repel bunnies though which do more damage to wiring and hydraulic hoses low to the ground.
SO, I put a Mouse Blocker under the PW hood and two days later after a similar no-start I found they hit the ECM harness again and the Mouse Blocker power cable (maybe they are smart like the mice in Hitchhikers Guide)
Another "simple" 3 hour repair under the hood accompanied by several profanities and a bench repair and armoring of the MB power lead and all has been well since. The MB has a low voltage shutdown and has not killed the start battery with a 2-week no use period.
