I haven't had my JT savaged so far but the little bastards have hit my Power Wagon twice this year. The first time they chewed every coil primary wire and 3 of 4 sensors along the drivers side head and ONE wire in the ECM bundle which is diagonally on the opposite side of the hood. A small 'opening' in the underhood blanket looked puffy and resulted in a very satisfying thunk when the shop-vac hose was pushed against it. It took about 3 hours to properly repair the harness... can't imagine dealer cost.

At work I place Mouse Blockers into security parking gates with about 80% success... they don't seem to repel bunnies though which do more damage to wiring and hydraulic hoses low to the ground.

SO, I put a Mouse Blocker under the PW hood and two days later after a similar no-start I found they hit the ECM harness again and the Mouse Blocker power cable (maybe they are smart like the mice in Hitchhikers Guide)

Another "simple" 3 hour repair under the hood accompanied by several profanities and a bench repair and armoring of the MB power lead and all has been well since. The MB has a low voltage shutdown and has not killed the start battery with a 2-week no use period.

One of the many reasons I no longer collect old Lincolns. What a royal PITA.
When I work for Goodyear. We had a dentist that collected Caddy Coupe De'Villes. He had some like 7 of them at the time. Every Monday morning he would drop one off for us to work on it during the week. The red Caddy had mice running across the shelf of the rear window. The white Caddy. I put it up in the air. Saw mice running across the rear axle.

Thats what they were like pre restoration, not to mention driving them and complete brake failures and just turds to drive. I was so happy to unload the last one. Not my cup of tea, I much prefer old Harleys.

I had rodent problems for a long time. I tried mouse traps with different baits. No luck until i discovered Lavender extract. I spray the top of the battery, air filter inlets (front grille and top of engine) and also spray all the visible wiring. I haven’t had a single critter since.

Wifey read something about how critters don't like lavender on ridit the other day. We got a deer problem. They're eating the wifey's flowers by the front porch and the one side of the house. If it was deer season. I would be eating venison.

I hate when you get under your Jeep and there are two eyes staring back at you...

It's a new thing from Jeep. Secondary sway bar disconnect for when the electric one fails.
Cheap. Works for peanuts.

Yes, I found an almost identical scene that the OP posted last winter, and lots of eaten acorn shells in my TJ. Guess I'll be trying the lavender and peppermint this year.

Just a couple ideas that I know work. I put scented dryer sheets all around my HARLEY every winter when it sits in the shed .I tuck them where the battery sits around the wires no varmit damage anymore .Trees and flowers ,human hair ,bar soap tied with a string. Deers wont bother them anymore.

Interesting., haven't heard of using lavender before. My buddy uses spearmint to keep rodents out of his RV he keeps on land in Maine. Says it works.
