Ok i have a gladiator overland with 3.73 gears i spoke to my dealership about re-gearing as they lifted it and but 35's with 17 inch rims at time of purchase below is their response is this true?????
"Rod,
After researching this I am not sure I have the best news. 4:10 gears require a different housing to install, from what our shop foreman and the parts department have researched. Then the guts of it also. After pricing out complete units are actually the lesser expensive option. 10% over on parts 3223.00 front + 175 labor and 3036.00 rear + 175 labor. Additionally you would needs a unit that calibrates the ABS, Trac control etc, otherwise the signals going to the PCM will be wrong. That unit costs about 300 bucks to my understanding. I am basing my information off of what I am being told by folks that know alot more technically than me. There me be another way, but I would have no way of finding that out. Jeep forum maybe ? Not sure how you would want to proceed on this, or if you would ven want to proceed. Let me know."
