My wife was on a trip to the Coast with friends, she called me with a TPMS warning. The tire shop she stopped at told her the valve stem caps meant her car had nitrogen, they would have to charge to inflate her low tire. I asked her "sweetie, as a HS science teacher, what percentage of the atmosphere is nitrogen?" She started laughing, told the tire guy STFU, and got back on the road with 5 psi of "atmosphere" added.
This cracks me up. The air we breath is 78% nitrogen. You can never get a tire to 100% nitrogen unless to mount the tire in a 100% nitrogen chamber. You tire is low on pressure. What you going to do? Carry a small nitrogen bottle around with you?
