My wife was on a trip to the Coast with friends, she called me with a TPMS warning. The tire shop she stopped at told her the valve stem caps meant her car had nitrogen, they would have to charge to inflate her low tire. I asked her "sweetie, as a HS science teacher, what percentage of the atmosphere is nitrogen?" She started laughing, told the tire guy STFU, and got back on the road with 5 psi of "atmosphere" added.

This cracks me up. The air we breath is 78% nitrogen. You can never get a tire to 100% nitrogen unless to mount the tire in a 100% nitrogen chamber. You tire is low on pressure. What you going to do? Carry a small nitrogen bottle around with you?

18,995 for a lift and tires. It just hurts thinking about it.

I will say this. I do believe the MOPAR lift is proper. I think Jeep finally tapped into the market and at a reasonable price at that. For being covered under warranty and offering owners the ability to place 37 inch tires under it along with a smoother ride I think you cant go wrong, but yes it is subjective. I didn't look into the tires and wheels they placed on this JTR, but I will say they are definitely calling to the mall crawlers out there.

Nitrogen.....for a buyer who will probably air up and down. Another completely out of touch jackass dealer.

Seeing post like these makes me feel better getting a basic sport with a hardtop and putting on ARB lockers next.

As with most things, someone with more money than common sense will be along and pay it gladly. Not defending the practice, but if suckers will pay, the dealership should make money on them.

It always amazes me how people get genuinely upset over how others choose to spend their money. Is it worth it to you or me? Maybe not. But that doesn't mean it isn't worth it to someone else with different priorities and/or deeper pockets. That's their choice, don't let them live rent-free in your head over it.

As we've said time and time again, sellers will price something at what they think they can get for it, not what they believe it is truly worth. If it sells, fantastic. If it doesn't, they either will hold onto it (hoping it will appreciate to that price point) or they'll slowly reduce the price to encourage a sale. This is the way of things. If you don't like it, just don't buy it and move on with life.

Nitrogen filling costs continue to be the most ludicrous of dealer tactics. How is it not common knowledge to reject these fees?!?!
Tell them the air they're breathing is 78% nitrogen, so if they insist on charging for 100%, you'll only pay 22% of that price.

What a bunch of crooks.

What do you think it should be? This looks okay considering how much tint he's quoting to do, especially if he's using the good stuff. The entire 4 door truck, including ceramic windshield, and an entire bed cap, that's going to carry some costs.
