Not at all. They were always very helpful and even excited to resolve tool issues. They would drop everything to install a ratchet repair kit, for example. And one that couldn't be repaired was upgraded in model "for your troubles." They had great service and guarantees, but failed to move into online sales completely, thinking it was a fad.

For those that are interested. Alternate transportation is not part of your warranty, period. Jeep does however give the dealership discretion to put someone in a vehicle for up to 5 days without pre authorization. They call it "Goodwill", not warranty. Theres a difference between the two that i'm sure attorneys were involved in when instituting that policy. Any more than 5 days requires the factory area service reps authorization.

For the record, the dealer later decided they would give me a loaner for the duration of the repair. It appears that my call to my salesman helped and he had gone down to service and talked to them. A salesperson has a lot at stake when a new vehicle he sells breaks down and is undriveable for a month. Not only does he stand to loose any future sales from that customer but the customer’s family and friends will hear about it and not likely to buy from them.
