Inside the compartment in front of the shifter. That would be nice.

Leatherseats.com makes a custom center console cover with a recessed built-in wireless charger. Really nice looking cover, too, in any leather (or vinyl) you want.

I prefer a hard wire since I use mine for trails. Those magnetic pads aren't worth beans for off roading, but thats just my 2 cents. I feel I get far better connectivity with a wire, as well as better multi tasking. I can Video over the top of the dash from the mount, while listening to music and have the map on, all while plugged in for a charge. To easy. I think my phone would fly out the safari doors if I went wheeling with a "magnetic charge pad" See you on the trails, & safe travels to you.

quad lock makes one that is awesome for off roading or motorcycle. works awesome and no wire required.

Wireless charging works great on samsung phones. With a wireless pad you just put your phone battery side down on the shelf and it starts charging.

USB-c in the top of the dash would be my choice.

I already pointed to a thread on another forum where one was installed, but I'll weigh in on a slightly different angle as well:

My ZR2 Bison had a wireless charger in the center console from the factory. A lot of people complain about their phones being too big, but the issue there is that their phones are too big... If you need to charge a pants tablet, use a cable. Anyway, it was awesome. Combined with a CarPlay2Air dongle, it was exactly what a modern car needs to work with modern cellphone devices and behaviors. It's the same logic as keyless ignition; if you don't have to wrangle with getting things out of your pockets, you come out ahead. Cables are obnoxious, and I'd happily do away with all of them if I could. If there was a way to charge my phone without taking it out of my pocket (or risking bodily harm to any adjacent organs), I'd be on it in a heartbeat.

I don't know about the Apple magnetic mount charging things. Still better than a cable, I'm sure, just never used one. Seems more fiddly than your typical Qi charger.

If the MY22 doesn't have such a thing, I'll almost certainly be working something out. It'd be nice if I don't have to pioneer it, but someone has to.

OEMs seem to screw things up, I wish there was a good place for one. FCA would have put some kind of 5w crappy thing that wouldn't even fit a 6in phone with a case. Love the term pants tablet from above. The damn usb-c ports don't even support the PD spec, literately the only reason you would put in that type of port over a type a.

Once my wireless android auto adapter comes in I am going to try to rig up something with one of the 15w samsung wireless chargers, but am going to need to run a power source to do it (usb ports are not powerful enough)
