Getting ready to pull the trigger on an ARB Twin.
Thinking long and hard about the under the hood placement.
Eventually I will add a rear locker. Love the custom panel for easy access on the way out concept. May be trying to replicate.

Is this the ideal spot?

I'd like to keep it free from damage and above water line.
Was also considering behind the rear seat. I'd like to keep my bed open for other items.

Thoughts and opinions welcome.

Mike.....my ARB twin came in a few weeks ago after a long wait. I have been researching and thinking where to mount mine for months. I am going to go under the driver side back seat. I just do not want to expose it to the elements. I have a real big project, a garage, to finish then hope to get the ARB installed. Good luck!

I get you. This is why I was thinking engine bay up high. Pricey equipment. Want it to last.

Not sure if this is ideal and it may not depending on your water crossing adventures but mine is under the passenger front seat. Keeps it clean and easy to access.

Two caveats: not as easy to move the seat back and forth and it takes away a tiny bit of under set legroom for the rear passenger. and it squeaks if no ones sitting in the passenger seat.

I would mount it there again though I did like the underhood option and panel. mounting it under the hood will limit some future upgrades like a HEMI so keep that in mind

Thankfully Colorado does not have many deep water crossing, but I may relocate to Memphis in the future.

I am still running a portable VIAIR 440p that is strapped to my bed Molle panels. I have been thinking about a permanent ARB twin compressor solution, and I favor the "bed" solution from 813 Fabrication & Design. I have a secure tonneau cover, so, I like this solution a lot. Here is a link to their video.

I just ordered a set up for under the passenger seat. It also is ready to go to air up all 4 tires at once. On the website he doesn't show a package for air lockers on a JT but if you email him he has a package for it. I also just bought axles that have an air locker in the rear. I have a friend with this on a JKUR and he loves it.

Innovative under the pass seat, but if I had a gasser (No room with the diesel), I would have gone with the driver underhood mount and extended the breathers up high just in case.

I really like the behind the back seat solution. Keeps it protected from random impacts, dust/dirt, water from shoes or boots, easy access (not in a tight cramped space under a seat), away from engine bay heat (I know tons of peopel mount them in the engine bay and it seems fine....but I would still prefer not to have it constanly cooking under the hood...probably just me).

I do have the gasser.
Exactly.....You have more options. I didn't want to give up the storage under the seat. but it was MY best option.

Hello Everyone! We have several options for the JT, please take a look at the website and let me know if you have any questions!

I personally run the Bed Side Enclosure on my JT with an ARB Single mounted inside. We have some new options for the Behind the Seat mount going on the website this week. We will now have an add-on plate that will make our behind the seat mount the most flexible on the market. You have the choice to add the ARB locker manifold or you can add a single air coupler and rocker switch or dual air couplers and rocker switch. It is very flexible. Full add-on kits will be available with hoses, air couplers, etc. You can mount your compressor and all of the this hardware in less than 10 minutes. The hardest part of installing our setup is getting your wiring ran.

Is it possible to run the dual compressor and and a single coupler and manifold for the locker?
I was hoping to buy a dual and add a locker when I re gear. I do like the picture you posted that I have added. Found this slick. I may end up in the engine.
