If you were about to spend $1500 on your jeep what would you do? Just asking for open discussion and day dreaming. As if we needed more distraction from jeep thoughts during work.

I am torn on what I want to do next to my Gladiator.
Was thinking bed rack.... Then thought of new rear bumper, again.... Then thought of gravity light bar. or lights. or new front
bumper, again. Then found clearlidz again....

Pretty much sold right now on getting the clearlidz, so i'm really not asking what I should do next, just wondering what YOU would do.
Wow, I never heard of clearlidz. Mind blown 🤯
I want a tonneau cover. Preferably hard folding and standing up in front for full access to bed. I like the Bakflip one.

That is a loaded question cause it could go in so many ways. A lot depends on at what stage the jeep is in. New, Already started modding, etc. What is it being used for. Biggest thing I see people doing is putting on a lot of stuff they likely don't or won't ever used. You mentioned Clearlidz which I think is almost $1500 that is a lot to just have clear panels. Think I would put that on a soft top which I could then open up the entire top. A spare $1500 I think at the stage my truck is in would have to go Underseat storage, sound system upgrade
Like I said, what would you do. So it depends on what stage YOUR jeep is in.
Clearlidz is an option for me because I want it. I also plan on buying a soft top next spring. It's not bad to have options. I thought about taking my jeep down to Round Rock and having them do the full glass roof on my top. but I keep the top off most of the summer so I don't know if i want to spend $2k on that. Would be nice to not get rained on as much in the summer lol.
Next spring I also plan on regearing, probably steel fenders, and who knows.
Right now I dig the idea of the clearlidz and I have about $1500 to spend so why not?

There are so many things I want to do and will do over time. Just throwing out the day dream option to distract everyone from work.

Probably finally get a lift. That’s really close to a couple of options I’ve been looking at. Other possibilities include:

rear locker (or maybe front since I already have rear LSD)
a bunch of random additions - bed rug, trail rails, Warn mid height grille tube, bumper lights, A pillar lights
New wheels

… but at the end the day, probably just the lift

My current dream:

2" AEV spacer lift
17" x 8.5" Black Rhino Sentinel rims in Desert Sand
35" Tires (still can't decide on which)
Rubicon steel front bumper (knock off acceptable)
Rough Country tubular rear bumper
Max-Modular / Voodoo 14" rack w/ tonneau brackets

I would buy as much as the $1500 would allow me.

Probably some KC Gravity Pros for the front and set of amber rear trailing lights, possibly some headliners and a sun-shade.
or
ask me in another year or so, and I'll say a set of new tires.

Hmmm options
1. iKon Rebound Pro
2.Front aluminum bumper
3. Lift kit from Rock Krawler
4. Rear bumper with spare tire carrier from JCR.
That'll do pig! That'll do

Put it towards an ARE topper...

I was thinking front bumper and maybe get away with a nice bed rack, but I would def rather have the topper.

Mopar steel bumper
Terraflex 2.5 lift or 1.5 level kit if staying close to 1500 budget being that an alignment will also be needed.

Originally my thoughts were to get authentic, I'd now also consider a good knock off mopar steel bumper as well.

I'm a big supporter of your ideas and will now follow suit.

I got about $5000 set aside so I'd add the $1500 to that to get me closer to a hemi swap, since it's out of warranty now I'm hoping by the end of next year

Members seem to be having good luck with the eBay version. That, and people around my area are nuts with used pricing.
