Wow! one of the reasons I canceled my reservation for a Bronco .. other than the 2 year wait and ugly fenders .. being on that forum was draining and depressing ... lots of arguing, negativity and disrespect .. Falls right in line with the experience you just described at MOAB .. ?
You raise a great point. I generally stay away from forums as there is just too much negative nitpicking and rancor. While there is some on this forum, some justified some not, the positive far outweighs the negative. Which in today’s world is very refreshing. And by the way, my experiences with Wrangler owners has been entirely positive.

I wave at all Wranglers/Gladiators I see. I have noticed that I get less return waves from the "stock" vehicles then I do the modified vehicles.

Yes, those ulgy fenders gotta go. I like Jeep for their reputation and brand loyalty. Got my JT two weeks ago and loving it-no regrets.

If you think they're angry, you never looked in the eye of a Mountain Biker or Horse rider out there.
Back to the respect thing, it is no fun being blasted by a Jeep hauling 45mph on a dusty road and getting a face full of dust. Speaking from experience there.

Ya, Jeep is a word that a lot of people associate with assholes and douche bags. Let's not pretend that the Jeep Bros out there don't exist and give us a bad name constantly. They feel they're superior because they have a Wrangler (or Gladiator now) and they feel superior for some reason. Wranglers and Gladiators are considered lifestyle vehicles, so it comes with the territory. Just be normal and know that they are everywhere, making all groups look bad if you think that's all of them.

the other reason being IFS. Try lifting that in the future. I get it that the Bronco comes with the ability to run 37s depending on the right options package but at the end of the day I'll take the beefiness of a stick axle any day. Want to make it stronger? Add trusses. Swap out the diff cover, on an on. Want to shore up a Tacoma (which someone on YT finally admitted was not built for offroading- love his channel for the LR stuff he did) or a Bronco? Maybe you buy some expensive gears, expensive CV joints, build a very strong diff drop etc. but at the end of the day you need a lot of work and money to get to the same levels of articulation, strength and flexibility that a stick axle platform offers. Plus I suspect that a lot of those folks won't like those upgrades and would prefer to spend their money on the all important mall crawler brand must haves (warn winch, rigid lights, name brand traction boards, a tent they wont use, spinners, dubs and of course disco rock lights).

Nothing against those brands of course (esp. not warn - mostly great winches but IMHO not great value for money).

Whew I think I should sign off for the day. Didn't mean to piss anyone off or disrespect anyone or leave anyone out. Everything I said above applies to certain populations of JT/JL drivers too unfortunately. And Tacos, and Canyons and Raptors and Rangers and etc. etc. Although I am definitely in the "you do you g'day" camp I often am confused about upgrades that reduce ride quality, gas mileage, or overall usability if they won't be used for their intended purpose. But that is another thread. I need to go back to work... :headbang:

Wife and I were wheeling around Behind the Rocks dunes today with our skills training group. Bronco team and their ride alongs were there all day. As we were heading out onto trail, we were cordial and let a group of Bronco “passengers” go by. As they were going by our group, they were all giving us the finger.

If that is the type of buyer buying the Bronco, I’m glad we ditched our Fords for Jeep only. Waiting another 2 years to get their toys must be starting to grate on them.

Had a great trail day and tackled some really good obstacles.
Its just a likely those passengers were giving you the finger because you have a gladiaor and they have wranglers a home as it is they are ford acolytes.

Wrangler owners may not have the market cornered on being douchy, but they damn sure have a controlling stake.

So Ford shows back up at the party 30 years later with a vehicle they've been working on for 5 years despite taking almost all their designs and concepts directly from Jeep and suddenly they're the cat's meow?

Um, ok.....

I have a theory on this.

The reason Americans are turning into inconsiderate assholes is because things have been too easy for too long. You had the Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War, WW1, The Great Depression, WWII, Vietnam, etc. etc... All of this occurred before the internet and electronics and technology. People for many decades had no choice but to work hard to survive. That in and of itself instills within people an understanding of life and the appreciation of working together. It made people proud of what they had here in America.

For the last 30 years, it's basically been a cake walk. Sure, we suffered through 9/11 but other than that life has been easy. Technology has increased to the point where humans don't really have to work hard at anything. Social media has made it easy to talk trash about anybody or anything. People are becoming spoiled little babies. They're bored.

I believe at this point the only thing that could unite us and save America would be another national catastrophe.
I agree

It’s a Jeep thing, they don’t understand... and they never will.

So Jeepers unite... and wave no matter how tired your arm may get. The non wavers will eventually get it, or sell and buy a Bronco.

We all need the positivity and the Jeep is born with it! Every time I jump in that seat I have a smile on my face!

No use in saying you will leave this country. America has gone through a lot just since 1942 (and since 1776... but the Jeep was born in 1942. A symbol of American Pride from its making to the battlefield.) We will see many changes in our lifetime I am sure, but not enough to leave. This Country’s well being is up to us to keep its fires burning. We are a different people, no matter where you started from, you live here, you are part of America.

I believe we will come through this on the other side better than before. No, may not be easy but the American spirit is just that, it lives in all of us, some just don’t know it is there.

As one of many who fought for this Country... America... I can say every sacrifice over all these years IS worth it. My Brothers and my Sisters that gave it all to make it so, would say the same thing. Respect them, take pride in where you live. Don’t let cancel culture of the few decide your happiness. You make that choice to be happy.

JEEP... it is a symbol of an idea and what AMERICA is all about. IDEAS and the tenacity, the spirit and a will that no other country will ever understand.
Thank you Sir. I too served and fought for this country and truly believe that no one person, no single ideology, and no generation of people is stronger than the American Constitution. I bought my first Jeep in August 2020 amid the pandemic, and while I was making the purchase I reminded myself that the damn mask I was wearing was not going to be covering my face when I got to the desert and mountains, and the lonely shores where no other person could interfere with me and my wife finally breathing freely the air God provides. Oh, that includes Atticus..... Our protector and friend.

Atticus is our fourth Giant... A Skansen bred boy of over 125 pounds, he is very sociable unless he perceives a threat or a command is given.
