So for real. I have an actual post related questions for people who actually have used a plug like this in the field in actual weather conditions etc:

What can be plugged into and run from the oem outlet?

What can be plugged into and run from the after market outlet?

And, they made such strides in tech that 24 volt systems were overtaken by twelve volt systems. Why does my new JT have two batteries? And why did they hide one? Thanks in advance.
Interested too. Does the Gladiator have a 24volt plug? Didn't know this was a thing.

I have no idea where you got such info.

As far as I know and have seen the JT, like every other vehicle except military ones, run on 12 volts.

I have not seen any info on a second battery...even my Ecodiesel GC only has one.

There's a 48v second battery for ESS and BSG.

This video shows the removal of the small second battery in a 2018 JL. The second battery removal begins at 8:18

Of course, I don’t know if the JT will have the same small second battery for the stop start technology.

The small second battery is for ESS. The bigger 48v battery is/will be for the BSG system - AKA ‘mild hybrid’. There is no 24v setup used at any point from what we’ve seen on the JL.

400W/110v gets you roughly 3.6A. Things you can run on less than 4 amps include things like an ARB / Engel fridge, lights, stereo, laptop chargers, etc. Things you won’t want to plug in are most tools, compressors, shop vacs, portable heaters, and very long extension cords.

By way of reference, in a modern US home the smallest amp breaker you’ll see is a 15A one, so if you’ve ever tripped one of those this is much much smaller.

Some maybe be happy and some maybe bummed but as I have mentioned before there is no BSG in the gladiator. There is ESS. The only JL with BSG is the 2.0T. The 3.6 in the Ram has BSG (FCA has been calling it eTorque lately).

On one hand BSG/eTorque sounds like something to break, but on the other hand I would love the instant torque even if only noticeable for a second and any to help MPGs would be nice, obviously I am not buy a JT for gas mileage but that doesn’t mean I don’t care at all about it.

Ah, interesting. I had thought BSG was added with the '19 JLs.

It was supposed to be, but FCA has gone radio silence on the issue.

They could go plug in hybrid, and then they don't need the eTorque, cuz that's already part of the hybrid, and ESS is controlled much better, or should i say i'm assuming it would be.

I've never pressed on the gas on my Pacifica Hybrid and had a hesitation or lag in instant power. Though there's more to go wrong with the hybrid system, the trans is less complicated, so i've read. That's going way farther away from being able to fix your jeep with a hammer and screwdriver, but that's where the world is going, like it or not.
