I do have a Tazer but am not familiar with that function. The backup camera comes on with the trurn signal?
Yeah, at least with the OEM head unit. You access it with the vehicle in the on position and scroll until you see turn cam.

I don't think that option is available. But there's so much JL3001 is capable of doing I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Reach out to Insane Audio. They usually respond quickly.

I already did, they were of no help.

I still LOVE it. If you use your phone as a hotspot it can do anything your tablet can do. If there's an app in the app store it's compatible.

1. The unit stays on when you shut the truck off. And for a lot longer time period than the stock radio. I believe it stays on as long as ACC so about 20 minutes or so.

2. Haven't had doors off yet. But with doors open it shuts off when the truck is turned off.

3. It has 2. You can wirelessly control GoPros from the unit too.

4. It still runs off of Android 9.0.

Another JL3001 Owner here - In regards to question 1 - there are actually some settings you can use to change this. You can change it to stay on for 5 minutes, turn off immediately, etc. I ran into this the first time I did doors off with the JL3001, the head unit wasnt turning off and I didnt want to drain my battery. I did some tinkering with the settings and now it turns off at the same time as the vehicle turns off, instead of waiting for me to open & close a door.

But yea, I absolutely agree, Ive had amazing experiences with IA`s customer service and am really happy with the purchase. Ive had it for ~9 months and its been great.

JBL 8 channel amp and Sound Ordinance powered sub. I called in sick to install it. Man oh man is it ever an upgrade. This is probably my favorite mod to date. I was gonna do an install post but Insane Audio has a great install help page with a BUNCH of short YouTube videos that covers everything so why reinvent the wheel?

I put the sub behind the rear passenger seat and the amp I attached to a panel under and to the right of the glove box. There's a ground post under the front passenger seat right underneath the center console.

Lateral to the ground post is a grommet in the floor of the cab. I drilled through that and run the power cables through there and along the frame and up into the engine compartment.

I ran all new speaker wires because on the basic sound system the speakers run parallel and I wanted each speaker on a channel. I upgraded the dash speakers and the kicker panel speakers with the Metra speaker pods and 6 inch speakers. I also replaced the sound bar speakers with one 6 inch 3 ways speaker on each side.

The JBL amp has an internal DSP that can program each channel out with a 31 band EQ. And then the JL3001. I don't even know where to start. It is like an IPAD mounted to your dash. It is absolutely amazing. It turns on instantly and the Nav is almost instant when turning it on. I can't wait to explore it's functions more.

I installed mine yesterday but when making phone calls with Bluetooth I can't hear the call through my speakers but they can hear me. Did you install the Amp to the head unit using that blue amp connection wire? Thanks

Yes if you mean the blue remote wire. You can play music through your speakers?
1) Try resetting the blue tooth connection.
2) The set blue tooth volume for calls might be set to zero. You have to go into factory settings to change it. I forget the exact steps. I'lm at work. I'll refresh my memory when I get off.
3) May have to do system reset. It's an easy process but again forgot exact steps without being in front of the unit.
