Having flashbacks about punching through the firewall while I'm on my back in the passenger side footwell. The rest of the install took 15 mins, that took 2 hours. Ha!
Same here, it is a pisser. I considered myself well versed in doing wiring and followed the instruction to a tee and still wound up cutting a factory wire at the firewall grommet pulling the harness through.

Why is all the lube on the outside??
It started on the inside and on the bundle. All the forceful ramming it in and out got it everywhere.

I'm being serious but yeah, lol

I may have missed this on another thread but what is the best way to get the system to recognize the switches once installed, without getting the dealer involved?

AlfaOBD or JSCAN with Bluetooth OBD adapter and a security bypass cable.

I put these in a year ago and haven't used them. I make sure to test them frequently by pressing them and seeing the light turn on.....JUST TO MAKE THEM WORTH IT! LOL
