Hi all, So I'm trying to figure out what wire to use from the auxiliary wire bundle under the dash but not use one of the aux switches. There's some extra wires that I think are not used for aux switches, can someone please tell me which one I can use that will supply power to my gmrs radio? Thanks!

About your question... I don't know. I'm just curious about why you would want to connect to the Fuse box rather than the battery. Personally, I'd rather have power to the radio at any given time without having to turn the vehicle on. However, other people on this forum have connected to a fuse box.

Mine was already installed when I got it and installed behind the glovebox and it is connected to AUX 3. You could potentially use the pink/orange wire which is tied to the ignition but I would verify that with your owners manual.

That's just it, it's not connecting to the fuse box. I saw a video that explained one of the wires in the bundle goes direct to power (I assume battery but could go through a fuse), the only problem is I can't find the video again. I'd prefer not to go through the firewall if I don't have to, just cleaner that way.
