$350 per month?
Actually it is $414 a month now... for 2 cars.

Detroit, MI highest insurance rates in the country, gotta love it.

I left Geico as well. Their quote for the Gladiator was comical. I actually switched to progressive and got my 2 existing vehicles plus my gladiator for $150 cheaper than what Geico was charging me for my 2 before. Add the Gladiator in there and Geico was going to be around $600 more per 6 months for the same coverage.
Just switched from geico to progressive and probably close to $60/month I’m saving just for my JT.
Thanks for suggesting Progressive. To switch from Geico to Progressive saves me 30% ($1K) per year! Exact same policy coverage limits. Someone at Geico needs to smack the actuary in the head that rated the Gladiator so high. He/she must have gone to the same school where they teach dealership sales people about price gouging and how to add ADM (Additional Dealer Markup). Goodbye Geico...

Added our JT and subtracted our 2015 Grand Cherokee which went up only $80 for the year. Moved off of Progressive and to USAA (military service comes in handy) and now have better insurance coverage for about the same money.

Welp, my renewal is coming up. Looks like going from the JLU to the JT is going to increase my rate $840 per year! Insanity! :headbang::angry:

GEICO raised my 6/mo premium from $622.00 for 6 months to $786.00 for 6 months a ridiculous increase of 164.00 for 6 months and 328.00 a year. Found A good company to offer the same coverage for 1000.00 a year And that's a fair premium ,.Not the first time I bought a new vehicle and A Insurance company tried to Raise the premium by a ridiculous huge amount.

Swapped out a 2006 TJ for a 2020 Gladiator with Geico in NJ and my Policy went up $200 annually or about $17/month. All for a 2011 4Runner and a 2020 JT I pay about $1350 annually with $500 ded. I was very happy with that considering my Gladiator's replacement value is 4X what my TJ was worth. Probably means I was overpaying for my TJ! Obviously insurance premiums vary widely widely state by state, even county by county...your credit score, driving record, location, deductibles, mutli car discounts and the list goes on all come into play when they calculate risk which spits out premiums. Its really difficult to do a real apples to apples comparison across state lines and across individuals. Only true test is to shop yourself to multiple providers and then repeat that process every couple years as things change frequently...I am sure there is someone on this thread who works at or has worked at an insurance provider who can provide more insight as to how exactly this all works...I'm certainly curious and would like to know the math/madness behind it all...

If I've learned anything from insurance rates is that its almost total bs. I had geico tell me 450$ a mo for my last new car, i said that cant be right. They assured me it was correct. Told them "se ya!" and as I was on my way out the guy asked me why i was leaving, told him the rate and he said "oh no thats totally wrong. it should be 150 p/mo." to which i said well the other company told me 120$. He then just decided he could do 115$. Still told him to shove it. I swear they just throw a dart at a board with numbers on it. :asshat:

In rural NW Missouri, with no accidents / tickets, I was quoted $459 / 6 months, which is ~$75 / month for my Gladiator Sport-S with my local State Farm agent.
