Insurance for Gladiator

Just did a quote with geico to add the gladiator onto my policy when it comes in will be 118/mo not bad for that and my tj.

Yeah I’m getting ready to give Geico the big “FO”...

- customer for years
- good clean driving record
- no claims (except 1 roadside tow)
- multi car discount
- bundle with homeowners
- almost 50 y/o (sigh)

And they just quoted me:

- Gladiator = $1,998 annually ($160/mo)...wow

AND

- 17 year old daughter = $2,600 annually (12 year old car worth $3K)...WTF????

Plus they just let me know their current carrier won’t renew my homeowners (they say proximity to CA wildfires) and quoted me 2x on a new homeowners policy.

I left Geico as well. Their quote for the Gladiator was comical. I actually switched to progressive and got my 2 existing vehicles plus my gladiator for $150 cheaper than what Geico was charging me for my 2 before. Add the Gladiator in there and Geico was going to be around $600 more per 6 months for the same coverage.

I actually switched to progressive and got my 2 existing vehicles plus my gladiator for $150 cheaper than what Geico was charging me for my 2 before. Add the Gladiator in there and Geico was going to be around $600 more per 6 months for the same coverage.

My 2018 Ram was $180 a month (got my 1st ticket in 17 years a month before I got it last year and it raised my rates).

Got my JT few weeks ago, $350 a month, WTF Geico.

When I insured my JKU, State Farm was impressed that the Wrangler has one of the lowest rates out there. I don't think being a Jeep means high insurance. That being said... being new probably has an effect.

Just did the vehicle swap quote with Progressive and the Gladiator will cause my insurance to go up a whole $1.18 for the six month period replacing my 2019 Tacoma. I can live with that.
