Is 2026 TPMS incompatable w 2020 TPMS?

Anybody know if the 2026 TPMS technology is not compatable with 2020 JT/JL Jeep technology?

So, I have 2 sets of tires & wheels.

Yesterday, I swapped out my oem 2026 tires & wheels with my 37" MT tires & wheels w 2020 TPMS. They have worked just fine with 3 previous 2020 JL & JT vehicles... As recently as in June of this year.

Yesterday, my new 2026 JT says "Tire Pressure Unavailble" when I put on my old tires/wheels.

If it was one or maybe two not reporting I might think the batteries dies, but not all 4 batteries could have died since June.

2020 tpms does not work with anything beyond early 2021. The 2020 tpms has air up alert which later jeeps did not

Np, same issue with my late 2020 build 2021 and my wife's late 2021 wrangler, her wheels work on mine but my wheels won't work on hers. Just ended up disabling tpms on the wrangler

Dealer, bent over and grab your ankles. Just had one replaced on the wifey's Compass. That was $220.

Unless it's beadlocks the actual install is really cheap. You can buy new sensors online for a lot less than the dealer and they're the same OEM manufacturer.

You got raked on that one. Just bought the TPMS sensors for my new wheels at the dealer, $68 per

Update: I got a quote from the independent tire dealership that sold me the Mickey Thompson 37s.

They said they can replace my "old" TPMS sensors for $80 ish per wheel.

I'm not sure if I'm going to call Discount Tire bc they did not sell the tires to me. What would happen if they botched something w the tires (that I didn't relalize until I took them back to the place I bought them) ?

Last time I looked (admittedly awhile) Sam's would do the tpms labor for like 10 bucks a wheel, combine with online tpms and you should be out of there for 150 or so

Then you take it back and have @Discount Tire fix the issue.

I bought 5 rims with TPMS sensors for my JT from Discount. Told them the build date. The sensors they sent me didn't work. So they sent me another set. They didn't work either. The ones from the local tire shop worked.
