So I have noticed this since I bought my rig in 21 but it never bothered me much until today
Are the steering wheel directional buttons for the dash screen backwards? I press down, the screen number goes up and vice versa

AND the manual shifter mode is also backwards to me

To me, they way my brain is thinking... Down is down and up is up.If I press down on the steering wheel button... The screen number should go down.If I'm shifting manually, if I pull towards me the gears should go down

Or is it just me. Lol I find this iconic though because when I'm played video games, my Y akis was always inverted (up is down and and down is up) haha

The dash screen thing seems correct to me. In my mind screen one is at the top of the list of screens, thus it makes sense to push the down button to get to two, down again to three and so on.

Now the manual shift mode I definitely agree intuitively feels backwards.

4 years in and I STILL can't get the menu direction right.

I don't get why they need to be numbered in the first place...if it's just a vertical carousel, then make it an unordered list and my brain will worry less about scrolling through a set of digits and more about a rotating a physical wheel.

Think of a manual transmission... 1st is top left, pull back to upshift to 2nd. 3rd is diagonally up, then pull to upshift into 4th.

You can also thing of it as pushing forward thus pushing yourself back to slow down, pull back to pull yourself forward (faster).

Or pushing up on shifter is gear up and pulling down is gear down down lol

And now I age myself, the three speed manual was the opposite. And how about the "three on the tree"? I started driving a three on the column in a 1968 Plymouth Belvedere wagon because my Dad was sure he could never learn to drive a "four on the floor". He had to special order the Belvedere with the three speed. He did learn to drive a four speed eventually. i like rowing the 6 speed and ordered my JT with one, to match my CTS-V.

As with the wiper controls...
narrow end of the ramp=LONG time delay
BUT some think
narrow end should indicate SHORT time delay
either way I just go by the feedback they show me.
